What NZdrs thought of England
I read something last night that made me laugh but very clearly points to what went wrong with England
The English touring party were known as TSD or Tindells Stag Do. Priceless but many a true word spoken in jest

Re: What NZdrs thought of England
They did act like a bunch of uni students on a booze trip with some rugby thrown in. Was pathetic really and so diasppointing especially as they had shown during the last year that they had some people capable of playing some bloody good rugby, and the NZ rugby public would have been eager to see it. The midfield was a fatal weakness, but however bad Wilkinson's general play was noone would have expected his kicking to be below 50%. A shame cause he was one of the heads down bum up guys whose work ethic should have been followed by others. Maybe some of them read their own press too much.

Re: What NZdrs thought of England
I said in an earlier thread that they blew away some painstaking hard yards on the PR front before the WC started. They were everywhere visiting schools, hospitals and ChCh (even before the AB’s did). Everything they were doing before the tournament started would have led to NZ supporters throwing their weight behind them in a neutral situation.
Lads on tour shenanigans put paid to all that, plus the dirge served up on the pitch as well as ball-swapping scandals. Headlines, for all the wrong reasons and as a result, England have yet again been cast as pantomime villains.

On one of Haskell's video diary things with Sky his was taking the urine out of the 'boring' players who just sat around. Most seemed to be the Leicester players. With him were Foden, Ashton and Hartley. There was a definitive split between the dicks and the pros
