"I haven't met Mr Hoodoo myself"... love it
Been saying this since 2007.

For me the AB choking is caused by the rabbit stuck in the headlights stuff...also why open teams like NZ, Oz and France stutter against structured combinations.
I've always believed- they don't let themselves play their own game- whereas the structured approach is naturally based on apprehension and not making mistakes rather than chancing their arm
Structured teams win through the ABSENCE of the open teams plying their trade.
hopefully knowing this this time will make a difference...my opinion anyway...

Whitebait is protein - Piri didn't miss out on KFC
Heard an interesting story on Radio Sport last nuight from Ken Laban who is a family friend of the Weepu's. Apparently Weepu went to boarding school at Te Aute College in Hawkes Bay and arrived there having only played league (family are massive league fans/players - his brother Billy played for Manly). By the end of the five years he was Head Prefect and captain of Hawkes Bay Schools playing at first five eighth. When picking the Hurricanes Schools side the coach took Weepu and Jimmy Gopperth (he was captain of Taranaki Schools and also first five eighth) aside and said lads one of you will be first five and one will be half back and they used rock, paper, scissors to decide, Weepu lost and the rest as they say is history.
If you want to listen to that interview the link is:

Piri's been real busy lately, First he had to get out of bed in the middle of the night and get Israel and Corey home from the pub, then he had to lead the haka, then he had to play half back, then he had to do all the kicks, including the kick offs, then this afternoon he's at his grand fathers funeral........probably drives the bus as well...

I know. A mate here went up to the game and from the side Weepu was just doing everything on the field as well in amongst it all.
The most unlikeliest looking rugby star don't ya think, and spent all summer in a cave judging by his inability to locate a razor mending his broken leg and eating pies...legend...
