I have followed the bears for 26 years now without faulter, am planning a trip to soldier field next year for my 40th.
That said, since getting married a few years ago, I now have a family connection to the Steelers as we have family in Pittsburgh. (they also play in Cornish colours, where my wife is from) But don't feel guilty as they are different conference to the Bears Whistle

Might have been in trouble had we beat Green Bay to go to this years bowel though lol

I went to see the Giants v Eagles game at Meadowlands in 09 (the one that finished about 45-38 !) and it's fair to say there is huge hatred between the fans.
If going on the Eagles forum I wouldn't recommend discussing your past, bit like a kids party organiser revealing he's on the sex register....

I wasn't as massive fan of the NYG. I was only 11! I generally like watching all NFL especially the teams that like sling it. Pats, Colts, Packers etc.. but have a soft spot for the Eagles. I was cheering on the NYG at SB42 tho...

I've been following nfl serious for about 2 years now with my team being the Titans (I'm a sucker for an underdog and loved the titans comeback from 0-6 a couple of seasons ago to come close to a playoff team). Other team I'll follow are the Packers, Eagles and Pats Smile

Fair point Derby but I think we might have a good shot this year. Fairly settled team where the guys are working out together and know what to expect of each other, so in theory the lockout shouldn't hit us as hard as some of the rebuilding teams who need their draft picks to play straight away. All the team seem to want to perform for Rex and with another year under his belt I reckon Sanchez will be stepping up this season

Cheers Grizzly, always a pleasure finding more Football fans in the uk.

I think that Rex does what he does to take pressure off his guys so they can go out and perform and 2 trips to the playoffs in 2 years is a pretty good start. 'Classless' is probably a fair tag with the way Cromartie and a few of the others carried on at times last season. I don't like being called a 'classless' team but I'm sure they will take it if it leads to the Superbowl

I agree Gang, I think Rex is a clever coach and does everything to take pressure off his guys as you say, I just think the Jets are tagged now and even if they won a superbowl they wouldn't get the credit or recognition they should because people have a built in perception of them.
First game I ever went to was Jets v Broncs but they were never looked at in the same way they are now

Lions, watched some of the C4 coverage in the 80s when I was a little kid (not understanding at all!), then became a Lions fan around 93ish because of the first Madden on the Megadrive.... and Barry Sanders.

As a Packer i'm starting to get worried by the side that Schwartz is getting together. If only you had a secondary outside of Delmas and Stafford could start for a full year!

Hey all.

Lions to make the postseason in the next few yrs.... well it's possible, would probably be as a wildcard though. If we can pick up a good CB, keep Chris Houston AND get a good OLB AND the offensive rookies we drafted this year come good AND Stafford doesn't get injured......
a shot at a wildcard in 2012 (ever the optimist!) as it should be an easier schedule than 2011.

After 2012, there's the question of whether we'll still have Calvin and whether Nate Burleson will still be worthy of being a starter as he'll be pretty old. If the guys we drafted this year come good, especially Titus Young (really worried he's going to be a bust, don't know why) and we can pick up some good free agents to help out behind the monster d-line, who knows? Suppose one can only dream...

Doesn't help being in the NFC North either.... love to see what would happen if we transfered with the Rams for a couple of years.
