Benitez interview

Its not the full interview just an exert but love Benitez saying Utd are successful because of money, if thats the case why with all he spent did he never win the league with Liverpool?

Great comment at the bottom from the writer saying SAF comment that Benitez was jobless and not his friend was graceless, it wasn't its what Rafa likes to call a FACT!!!

It appears that Benitez is still smarting from those comments made in 09 was it? He realised he was a real plonker for coming out with all that nonsense and the galling thing for him as since that Utd have remained successful while Liverpool have got worst.

Everything Benitez said in the 'rant' was spot on. Ferguson is a bully, pure and simple. If you don't think money is the main reason United have been successful over the last 20 years than you must have been born yesterday.

Nothing more needs said.

You are kidding aren't you? The managers before Ferguson had money to spend and weren't successful except for a few FA Cups and the likes of Newcastle have spent big throughout the PL and have little to show for it and Benitez spent plenty and except for the Champions League in his first season and the FA Cup the year after when it was still mostly Houlliers team he didn't spend it well.

Spending money doesn't equal success but spending it wisely and getting the most out of it does and thats what Fergie does

Most teams who have been succesful over a long period of time have been the richest about - you cant tell me when Liverpool were at the top, they didnt buy the best players or pay top wages??

Benitez is a fool and you would think he would have learnt to keep his mouth shut after he embarressed himself in his famous rant a few years back!

No I wouldn't ever want a foreign coach at my club and I am happy to have a club legend incharge and doing ok!

This is old hat. Benitez has been taking potshots at Utd and Fergie in particular for the past three years or so.

All this interview confirms is that Benitez is still alive, still jobless and still a joke.

Not quite. In relation to SAF being a "bully"what many don't like is when they are put in their place which is what SAF does, he has done this with the media and also other managers like Kevin Keegan and Benitez.

Money does not mean sucess you just need to look at Real Madrid's recent example. Utd have in general been financially sound for a long time yet success has not always courted them. Off course SAF has spent money just like every other club, but as a good manager as well, he uses his resources more effectively than most managers especially managers like Benitez who managed to turn a treble winning side into a flop in the space of a few months.

Benitez is a jobless forgotten man and is probably trying to put himself on the market by talking about SAF as he knows people will listen when SAF name is mentioned. It is really quite sad but to be expected of this "disturbed" man.
