India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
England win the toss and bat, in a must win game, after two big win's for India.
Both teams unchanged.

Expect more of the same. England 260-270 and India to chase it with 5 overs to spare, is my prediction.
Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Probably right, but England have nothing too lose (well, apart from the series), so hopefully one or two batsmen can get that big score that will be needed against India. I was hoping they replaced Kieswetter with Bell. But England are staying faithful to the current team.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Kieswetter shouldn't be replaced, that's a knee-jerk reaction.
Bopara should probably be replaced with Bell, given that bell is a better bat and a better fielder. Kieswetter is a good young player that can be very dangerous on his day, something that Bopara isn't. Anyway, that's a debate that's for another day.
We need to score 300 to stand a chance, in my opinion. Our bowling is so jaded/poor that I'd still worry then.

glad we kept the same seam attack. They got us into this mess, now get us out of it....I wish Borthwick would have got a game though, to be honest.

I'm not glad, cf, Finn looked sprightly but Bresnan looked tired to me, and Dernbach looked poor.
Shame Woakes got injured, thinking about it. His batting would have allowed us to drop Patel (who is useless with the ball) and played Borthwick to see how he went.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Cook gone lbw to Vinay Kumar.
See, this is an example, average bowlers getting out players that have just played far too much cricket. I can see myself being very angry by the end of this pointless tour.

Shuck's not the start England needed, plumb lbw from V Kumar, 8-1

Trott playing out too many dot balls in these powerplay overs. His innings in the 2nd ODI was almost a run a ball, I was rather hoping he would have continued that.

Ball wobbling around, looks difficult conditions out there

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
This is the reason Trott sucks in ODI cricket. And with Deadweight, NoHopara and Fatman to come its up to Craig again.
We need to score 280-320 just to stand a chance

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Our run rate is always higher than this in Test matches. Appalling.
Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
India have bowled well on a pitch which is doing a bit. Trott really struggling, having said that he's just smashed one past the bowler for four.
Just seen a replay of Cook's LBW. Looked a touch high?

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Batting powerplay, 7 overs - 3 runs per over????. In a must win game, way too many dot balls. These are class batsmen, who should be able too find the gaps to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Apparently hit him above the knee roll, which usually suggests it is going over.
It's easy to bowl well if the batsmen aren't playing aggressive shots and getting after you.
We simply allow far too many dot balls in powerplay overs, and we will never be successful at ODI cricket as long as that continues.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Problem is now, the pressure is mounting to break the shackles, and you can guarantee that one or more will be out soon to a forced shot.
Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Kieswetter finally thinks he's got his eye in, and just after smashing one straight back to Kumar, marmalises one way over midwicket into the stands. Better from England.

Apologies that was Praveen, who I really do rate. For a moment I thought it was Vinay.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
last ball of the PP goes remarkably over third man for six, and England end on 40-1. Not a disaster on this wicket, but would've liked a few more on the board...

10 overs, 40-1, Trott, doing his norm 7 runs (20 balls). Need to pick it up now.

Morning guys,
Came on for the 3 ODI. Haven't missed much it seems.
Trott as number 3? Always good to take the game away from your opponents

Kieswetter going well. This is why I would be loathe to drop him, he sets a good pace when he gets his eye in. Helping us play a bit of catch up, here.
(Hope I haven't put the mockers on him).

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Drives me mental these incredibly average Indian bowlers getting good batsmen out.
Kohli. Kohli for crying out loud. My great aunt bowls with more venom and skill than Virat does.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Good 12th over for Eng, 10 runs, Kieswetter OUT, Darn, he was looking good 36 (37 balls), Trott 11 (25 balls) 53-2.

In ODIs? Not really, in my entire life I've not seen a consistently good England one day side. It really is ridiculous we keep making the same mistakes
Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Gregers talks utter guff when it comes to England, I'd ignore it MFC
Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Run rate has increased nicely now - 8 per over in the last 5 overs, and 5.5 per over overall.
Cue England going at 1.5 per over for the next 10 overs...

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
I have never known, why Pietersen has been ridiculed for his batting, ok he has not had the big runs in ODI.s recently, but he will always be capable of being a match winner. He gives me the same buzz that Botham used to give me when he came to the crease. Class is permanant.
