England giving away too many easy singles, the fielders in the ring have to be TIGHT!

again, shouldn't be a single there, fielders in the ring need to stop those

Don't care as much as a Test, obviously, but it'd still be nice to win!
Alas, can't see it, not with Kohli Raina and Dhoni all still to come.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
Our bowling attack is toothless.
Say what you like about Jimmy in ODI's but he'd cause a hell of a lot more problems than these boys are. We badly miss Broad's bowling, too.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
well the conditions don't suit Finn and Dernbach, they'd suit Bresnan, but he's looking jaded, and Anderson and Broad aren't there, so yep we do look a bit toothless

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
India is one heck of a boring place to go and play cricket isn't it?
Rarely are there low scores, rarely does anything happen through the air or off the deck (apart from balls that scuttle through low). It all becomes a bit disinteresting seeing single after single being compiled, with the odd boundary chucked in.

England just don't look up for it in the field, and that's a shame

RRR still over 6 so some quick wickets will tilt the game in our favour. I just can't see it though...

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
England's bowling has been pretty awful, they just seem to hit the wall sometime between 15 and 20 overs (as they did in the last game). Whether that's struggling to cope with the conditions, tiredness, or some other factor it's a major problem IMO.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
don't mind that Duty, try something a bit different, see if the Indians mess up. Didn't work in that over, but nothing wrong with the idea. Don't think we've got our lines and lengths right to Gambhir at all today...

126 needed off of 120 balls, 9 wickets in hand. Only England and maybe South Africa could lose from this position!

Hmm Swann has another loud LBW appeal turned down, and that looked out to me. England don't need that...

Great, so Gambhir is plumb LBW and isn't given, then hits a six straight after.
How much are the BCCI paying these umpires?

No luck for England, looked out and not given. Two balls later Gambhir hits a six.

Actually that six would have been out had the fielder been right back on the rope, poor stuff again from England in the field

England again guilty of not being tight enough in the ring. If you have mid-off up he might as well stop the single, otherwise there's very little point.

Drinks break, we certainly need one! Give Finn an over afterwards, he'll get us a wicket!

Was hoping Eng won thi one, to keep the series alive, but not to be, they do look tired, so the two month break will do them good. Then back to the serious business of the tests.

Well personally I reckon Bresnan can get another if Cook brings him on. Or is that pushing my luck slightly?

Gambhir gone, the RRR is still high enough that wickets can trouble India. Steven Finn deserved that wicket, and I am sure gregers will have something to say on that catch!!!!.

Re: India v England 3rd ODI Debate.
so 103 needed off the last 15, 8 wickets in hand. Batting PP right now. Easy surely?

it was a good catch, although wasn't expecting him to hold it based on his fielding in the first two ODI's
India will probably still romp home tho unfortunately

RRR up to 7.21, a few more wickets and India will be under pressure. But that will never happen, surely?

I'd probably rather have Kohli in than Raina or Dhoni, those two can really give it some tap!

That's quite a concession gregers!!!. what about that 64 of 61?Gregers wrote:it was a good catch, although wasn't expecting him to hold it based on his fielding in the first two ODI's
