So he has picked 7 welshman out of 15.....when you bear in mind Wales lost 3 games you would have to say Brynmor has lost his marbles!!

Cari he didn't have a great tournament. I hear he thought it more important to save it for a great HEC with the Ospreys.

Maes - I wasn't referring to the fact Tommy wasn't on the list, but that there were too many Welsh players in it.

Pocock/McCaw for Warburton
Has anyone been better than Charteris? Can think of any
Priestland is the only 10 to have shone really, bar Carter but his injury rules him out.
Phillips is probably the best SH at the moment, he was phenominal against Ireland and France, Weepu close.
A.Jones has been there or there abouts in a world 15 for the last couple of year. He is better than Castro at least
Roberts has been back to his Lions best, lots of competition at centre, but Roberts is a good better - none have been outstandingly better at least.
Haridonkey perhaps over Falatau, although Hari only played the 1/4 and semi. Read missed much of the tournement and hasnt been outstanding, Heaslip was average and Parisse left early - So its a 50/50 really.
Cory Jane/Clerc over Kahui

Brussow over Kaino?! Kaino has been the player of the WC and could well be player of the year.

Re: Brynmor Williams team of RWC 2011
I just love Brussow and liked the balance of the back row with him in it. But yeah take your point. Its all a bit subjective. For instance I can see a good case for Charteris and Alberts didnt play as much but I thought he was the form 2nd row in the Bok side and prob in the tournament. England fans could probably justify shouting for Ashton, SOB for Ireland would be ther or threabouts though I thought Gwyn Jones was just making excuses for russias scrum tonight as Adam has been immense and back to his best.

Re: Brynmor Williams team of RWC 2011
Danny Lydiate was superb, absolutely superb. His tackling and ability to be in the right place all the time, constantly looking for work...
But Kaino is amazing. Better in attack than Lydiate who struggles to keep up with break away rugby like Kaino...

Brussow, although his shirt says 6, is an openside flanker. The fact that SA swaps the numbers of the open and blind side players throws a spanner in the works of these 'best of' teams. On that basis, he's competing with Warburton and McCaw on this team. SA's challenger to Kaino would be Schalk Burger stictly speaking (6), but Kaino was miles ahead.
