First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the life size photo of Thierry Dusautoir.

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Very lucky knock on from a Connacht perspective. Blues had a great run from the scrum and looked very dangerous, stupid KO just a metre or so from the line.

S4C's English language commentator has just said he has been pronouncing Flavin incorrectly and was corrected over twitter.

Can someone with a twitter account now ask him to start pronouncing Connacht properly!

Evening all, congrats to those whose teams have won today.

Poor performance from Irish, I could go into where we went wrong, but it would just depress me and we don't have all night. We must play better, and I know we can, so it's not all doom and gloom.

The worst note of the day was the small minority of Bath fans sat in the same row as me. I have never come across fans like them at a rugby match before, and hopefully never will again.

At least Arsenall have given me something to smile about today though. Can't believe RVP got a hat trick, I was only looking at the odds for that earlier and decided it was so unlikely that I wouldn't even stick a quid on it!!! Doh

Diolch Gibbo. I went into the match thinking we'd be lucky to get a LBP, so really really pleased and surprised with the win. Great atmosphere at PyS as well despite the weather, to have a few of our stars back for us.

Treviso will cause a lot of problems for those in their pool.

Biarritz, O's and Sarries. Its not a nice place to go now.

Oooh I cant wait for the real thing to kick off. There will be some shocks for sure.

Scarlets will have a huge say when they get their Welsh contingent get back. Maybe Warriors and Ulster (if they turn it round ver ver quick)

I would just LOVE to see Treviso in the Playoffs.

I certainly hope so Gibbo. Matthew Rees made a huge difference today. Our driving maul was superb in the second half! (I can scarce believe I typed that). The returning lads are going to have to fight for their place though. Liam Williams on the wing and Adam Warren at centre were great today and Dan Evans has got his confidence back and played a blinder with the boot from fb. Really pleased for him.

That's a shame Dreamer - didn't you say he was going to the Castres game? I'm not spending Christmas with my familiars this year. It'll be a bit of a dampener anyway cause my brother-in-law's off to Afghanistan for six months next week, so I'm going to do something else instead for a change.
