Discuss today's T20 here fellas. Another India win do we reckon, or are England finally going to turn it on in the shortest of formats?

Not a typical limited over pitch so batting won't be all easy , but if you know you only need 6 per over I reckon most teams would fancy this chase.

Chance for England to get some points from the tour ...

Certainly a bit of turn there but I'm not sure this is such a great tactic from Dhoni...we shall see.

These young players India have brought in to the ODI team have done wonders for the fielding.
OK , one dropped catch but generally they've been excellent.

some seam. Pathan has taken some stick (depite the wicket) and I did say I thought India were a bowler light here...

more fine batting from KP, manipulating the field to perfection. It's a shame the crowd don't seem to be able to appreciate it...

the win today doesn't paper over the cracks in the ODI team tho

Very good day for KP , Patel, Bopara and Finn in particular , but I'm sure they will all feel a bit better having finished a generally disappointing tour with a win...

Eng needed that. Overall a fantastic year. They still need to get the ODI format sorted, other forms look much better.

it's odd though isn't it that we're so good at tests and T20s and seem to have exactly the right tactics for both those forms (most often anyway), but for some reason we just can't get it right in the 50 over game.

yep, just do not seem able to do it.

i remember a time we were doing better at that but then poor at tests. We never seem to master all of them.

I'd rather be good at tests though.

tests every time for me, I remember when we were the world's worst test side, that was awful

Mad for Chelsea - yes, it is odd. I wonder if the role of the captain is actually more important to the outcome of 50 over games than other international formats.

Tests are so long that class will generally out whilst t20s are so short that they'll be won by a mix of ability and good fortune.

I wouldn't die in a ditch defending this view but I think it's worth considering.

Definately agree about captaincy - I have always thought that tactics play the biggest part in the 40 and 50 over games.

swanny's had 2 wins out of 3 as skipper, he is doing a very good job in broad's absence..

Haha Gregers said KP did ok...that's a huge compliment from him, given his irrational dislike of the big man!
