Treviso 50-24 NG Dragons
I watched the recording of the Connacht versus Blues game and afterwards they showed some highlights of the other two Welsh games. I seen this scoreline and my jaw just dropped. During the highlights the Dragons back's were turned in the opposite direction allowing two quick-tap tries; this just summed up their attitude towards that match for me but I'm still unsure as to how it continued downhill from there.
A lot of plaudits should go to Treviso for this win. Dragons had put out a good team which adds more gloss to their big scoreline. After losing their 3 opening games the Italians have now have a run of four consecutive victories and have moved up to 5th in the League. Hopefully this is the beginning of a new era for the Italians in rugby. Well done Treviso.

Treviso is not an easy place to go but that is no excuse. I was hoping for at least a losing BP from this game but was shocked and gutted by the scoreline.
Hopeully we can bounce back with a good derby win on Friday

Well I'm not too sure about that. Blues won away last night and may be able to put out an even stronger team on friday.

The Blues were not convincing though, and Rodney Parade is a tough place to go. It will be pretty close and could depend on how many of the Blues internationals return as J.Roberts, L.Halfpenny and G.Jenkins played pretty much 80 minutes in all the knockout games and Warburton is still banned - we may see B.Davies and L.Williams start though.

Is this the final week of Warburton's ban?

Yeah, it was 3 weeks so he will be back for the HC.

I've heard we'll be resting Faletau, Lydiate and Charteris for the Blues match. I'm not happy we lost so heavily out in Treviso but it's great for them and the league as a whole to be up to fifth. Still early days, though.

Good news for us in regards to retaining some of our world cup stars:

I think that result just confirms what we all know about the Dragons. A decent team at home capable of giving most teams a run for their money but away from home are just dire. If the Dragons are ever to compete for the Pro 12, and Europe they have to sort out their dodgy away form. It's what's letting them down imo.

To be fair to the Dragons they had the worst start to a match possible, and I have seen international sides fall apart under similar circumstances, Scotland did against Italy when they we chasing the match after 15 mins. I don't think that the score line is a fair representation of where the two teams are. However I do think that Treviso will be one of the teams looking for pushing on that fourth spot come the end of the season.
