The next big things?
Who in your opinion are the next big things in football?
Hazard?
Gotze?
Iturbe?
Ganso?
5 years from now who can you see grabbing the back pages week in week out?

Re: The next big things?
I'd say Hazard and Gotze already are considered as some of the best players in the world.
Javi Martinez could make a name for himself, but until he's playing Champions League football he only gets the chance on the international stage. Kevin De Bruyne is supposedly highly rated by a lot of teams, but I've only ever seen him once or twice. Alexandre Lacazette is someone who could really start to make an impression. Getting a few more chances at Lyon this season (hopefully) so he could start to get noticed a bit more.

Gotze is sheer class, i think he could be the best player in the world in 3 or 4 years if Messi slips a little. He's already one of the best now.

Re: The next big things?
Kovacic at Prague looks one to watch, Utd are meant to be keen on bringing him over in the future.
Re: The next big things?
I can still remember when Bruno Cheyrou was the next big thing. And Ian Bogie!

And hopefully Miralem Pjanić & Stephan El Shaarawy.

Re: The next big things?
I have to say Hernandez of United. Very un-conventional and unique player. Has pace and is a danger in the 18 yard box. I can seem him becoming more important to Utd than Rooney.
Ramsey too. I know he is getting a lot of praise of late, but he is looking more solid than Wilshere. Again another player that will be more important to the cause than Wilshere, Van Persie, Walcott.

I would consider Hernandez already relatively established.
Jack Wilshere for me looks the real deal. He's like a hybrid of Paul Scholes and Steven Gerrard. Very excited to see how he progresses over the next 5-10 years.

Re: The next big things?
Neymar? He's going to be a little bit of a letdown as he is hyped so much but he is a class act and is still only 19. I would also say Thiago is at the same stage as the above listed.
I'll try to say those not mentioned yet,
Gerard Deulofeu from barcelona is in the makings of a class player and at 17 is wanted.
Matin kelly and Kyle walker are two defenders i admire and they will be competing with each other for the RB spot in the england team for years to come.
Tim Krul at 23 is a prospect to be keeping an eye on after impressing at newcastle
Arsenal youngsters Frimpong and Miyaichi could turn out to be real gems and frimpong is almost a regular first teamer now

Re: The next big things?
He plays well against mickey mouse defences in the brazilian league but if he's up against Spanish defences playing for a team like Real then he'll see it's a big adaptation. Neymar costs too much for the limited player he is.Neymar? He's going to be a little bit of a letdown as he is hyped so much but he is a class act and is still only 19.
I quite like Xherdan Shaqiri from Basel

Re: The next big things?
Chelsea have a couple of quality midfielders to look out for:
Romeu - tackles hard, good distribution, excellent football brain.
Josh McEachran - excellent passer of the ball, good control, thinks well too.
Romeu has impressed me so far this season and must surely oust Mikel sooner rather than later. McEachran has had more limited opportunities this year, but last year was mightily impressive whenever he had the chance.

Re: The next big things?
Gary Gardner at Villa will be a great player imo.
Established in England U21 team.
2goals for them in less than a minute recently.
A hattrick against Ajax.
When he comes back from loan at Coventry(scored on his debut) he should at least get on the subs bench and push his way into the first team.
(That is a big should with McLeish in charge though).

When he played us ( Scotland) he was the best player on the park by a country mile, totally ran the show. Though we did win

Re: The next big things?
Sturridge is already an England international, so calling him the "next big thing" isn't quite right IMO. Bertrand looks a good prospect, while Josh looks the real deal to me. Not too convinced about Hutchinson though. In future a midfield of Romeu, McEachran and Ramires looks great to me

If hazard is considered then surely Sturridge can be!
Romeu has impressed me no end so far already
