UNCAPPED XV from this weekend. Empty UNCAPPED XV from this weekend.

Post by humpy Sun 30 Oct 2011, 12:52

Sat here reading while waiting for my Roast Chicken, and wondered how an uncapped XV would look..... here's how I see it based on this weeks players..

1. Wood (Glo.)
2 Webber (Wasps)
3. H Thomas (Sale)
4. Skivington (Lei.)
5. Robson (Quins)
6. Johnson (Exe)
7. Fearns (Bath)
8. Dowson (Saints)
9. Simpson (Wasps)
10. Burns (Glo)
11. Wade (Wasps)
12. Barritt (Sarries)
13. May (Glo)
14. Joseph (LI)
15. Goode (Sarries)

Struggled at TH but all in all I reckon could give the established stars ago... thoughts??.......
Yes some have played for England but they where uncapped games (I checked)

Cheers

Fearns didn't play yesterday humpy, but Mercer had a very good game at 7 again so pop Mercer in there instead.

I'd love to see Mercer push on this season from his success 2010-2011, he a cracking prospect with plenty of beef in the tackle, great handling skills and a bit of a tasty snaffler.

Jospeh played 18 minutes at 13 this weekend before going off injured so not sure how this can be based on this weekends performances.

Didn't Simpson come off the bench at some point in the world cup?

I stand corrected, I looked at the last weeks results and included Fearns, but yes will replace with Mercer... Joseph has played alot of rugby on the wing.. based on this I chose him, and his strike rate this year is very good,as I really like the Barritt / May combo i didnt want to break this up. Although I was tempted with Benjamin (Wors) but if i chose a bench he would of been on it. Yes Simson did get a cap so binned him and put in Lee Dickson (saints) instead

Definitely agree with Sharples, I really wanted him to go to the WC instead of Cueto but that was never going to happen. I hope Cueto steps aside now and gives Sharples a chance for the 6N, he is the sort of player England need to develop now in time for 2015.

Excellent article.

From my perspective, Wales:
15-9 Evans, Wiliiams, Gomer Davies, Hewitt, Walker, Morgan, Webb

1-8 Andrews, Myhill, Griffiths, Welch, Day, Bearman, Edwards, Morgan.

Problem for me was that unless he was kicking the ball he looked to be having a pretty dodgey day out. Even his rock solid defending deserted him as Trinder gassed him on the outside a couple of times.

Replace Skivington with Parling, Skivs form has improved but Parling got man of the match for a reason he ran the lineout brilliantly and got around the pitch very well.
