The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing picture of newly retired Gareth 'Alfie' Thomas.
Also a special picture of Thomas Domingo and wishing him all the best on a speedy recovery.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Evening Kenny really hope Friday is your day I'd be by now!
Dreamer, huge congrats on the green status.
I'm sorry people but I've had a song on the brain for the last 3 days and it's driving me nuts I'm going to dump it here and hope it finally gets out of my head! Don't click if you don't want to sing it!

I'm not surprised Kenny, I can't begin to imagine spending 4 weeks in hospital! 3 nights is the longest I've spent as an in-patient and I was almost immediately. I am not a model patient

Best way to be though Kenny!! I know when my mum goes into hospital because she's an ex-nurse the nurses sometimes hide in her room because they know she won't complain all the time to them!!

For those of you who don't know (those without a y chromosome) the first week in Movember is all about building a foundation. Laying the ground work as it where for the the preceding fortnight where the real work kicks in.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Sage advise willy but riddle me this. I've an interview tomorrow, I'll have to be clean shaven but for the mo. now it won't look TOO bad tomorrow as its only a couple of days growth and I don't grow that quickly. However if I'm called back for a second interview next week I'll look like a 15 year old drug dealer. Which is probably not a good impression to give my interviewers!
Maybe coming clean and saying that it's for charity might curry favour!?

Bore da pawb / good morning all.
Mickado, once they know it's for charity it'll be seen as a positive rather than a negative. They might have heard of Movember anyway, it seems to be getting more mentions in the media this year compared to last year.

Exactly Mickado! Use it to your advantage and say that you're raising money for a charity that really means a lot to you and it's a fun way of doing it. You never know, one of them might have a mo of their own!

For those coming to the Parade for the Dragons v Blues:
'The Dragons will mark the completion of their new stand.
Former Rodney Parade favourites Rod Snow, of Canada, ex-South Africa captain Gary Teichmann and Wales flanker-turned-adventurer Richard Parks will join entertainer Max Boyce in helping mark the stand's completion.'
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/welsh/15544581.stm
Sounds like there'll be a bit of a sing-song before kick off!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Hi all.
Picked up serious Karma points yesterday.
On way home from work gave a lift to a fella whose car ran out of petrol to a filling station and then dropped him back to his car. Was a bit aprehensive as he was a member of the travelling community but a nice fella all the same.
Then after my referee meeting I saw a guy passed out with his head under a parked car. No response from his after calling and shoving. So called an ambulance. Fella was drunk and took a bad fall hitting his head.
Also had a really really interesting referees meeting where George Clancy gave us a briefing about the RWC. Very interesting to hear it all.

Obviously Munsty. I'm just selfish that way. Like those people who are only nice so they'll go to Heaven and not Hell. We all got our motives
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Sorry to urinate all over your parade but I have led a chaste and good life, handing out good deeds like it was going out of fashion.
And my life is poopie personified.
I dont even get waves from people I let out at junctions in my car.
All good looking girls go out with complete a-holes - I am going to lead my life like a cross between Gadaffi, Hitler and Frankie Cocozza from now on.
Karma....pahhh.

No Adam, you must be doing something wrong. And Karma did reward you. It gave you the skill to create 606
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Munsty, thats how the church in Ireland spin things. Its all bribery. "oh be nice to people and not a complete douchebag or else Satan will poke you with a stick for eterinty".

If you could only see the abuse I get off the sections on here!
Certain sections hate me with a passion (the feeling is mutual I might add).
I can honestly say that I have only the good of mankind at heart and yet I still get pooped on day after day.
today I got another knockback:
Good interview and came across very well, however based on his previous
experience, I don?t think this role would be enough for him, he?s too
qualified. It?s very hands on and I see him fitting into a more strategic
position. I feel he would get bored with some of the mundane tasks and
loose interest.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Thats a pity Hobo, you know you have a whole pub of virtual pals in here anyway,
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
"Loose interest"? Hate to say it but maybe they're afraid of hiring someone smarter than the people writing these things.

Good morning all.
how be everyone? sorry haven't been much lately.
it wasn't anything personal against you guys. Just had a few personal issues to resolve as well as getting my head around becoming the Chairperson of the marching band I am. it is kind of a big deal.. I will need to give press interviews an all
Mickado, I am on a half day on Friday so I can be gone by half 12 in here. so we can grab a bite to eat before meeting up with who ever else is out for it?

You're lucky I'm not paranoid, Micky!
Prop, I looked at the Dragons' website earlier and it said there were no tickets because the fixtures hadn't been confirmed, so the website's playing up by the looks of it. I imagine the first place to sell out will be the Hazell terrace so you might want to book sooner rather than later!

Mick, sure you might as well jump on the bus down to my place, I’ll be off on Friday so I can make us lunch and we can head to the RDS from there. Or you’d be more than welcome to leave your car there overnight if that suits ya better. It’s pay and display outside so we’d have to sneak you into the small car park, don’t see it being a problem at 1pm on a Friday afternoon though.

If you need some high quality training on how to do this but at a very affordable cost, let me know.
