The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing picture of newly retired Gareth 'Alfie' Thomas.
Also a special picture of Thomas Domingo and wishing him all the best on a speedy recovery.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Prop,
I've been looking at train fares, cos I have to get from Soton airport to Asbo, and then from Kia's back to the airport, and to save time I may well get a car rental for about 45squid+gasoline whereas the train is silly hours and doesn't appear to be excellent value.

Right Chef
Two options, you can go Southampton - Reading (with cross county) and on from there, its the more expensive route at about £70 return, takes 2hr 46 min
Or once an hour from Southampton Airport you can go VIA Romsey (they leave at XX46), Romsey to Westbury, Westbury to Exeter and it takes 2hr 45 mins. But because of the changes its only around £35 return

LOGISTICS
OK, have been doing a wee bit of planning, and here's how I think the December meet is panning out:
I think that's it for the moment - pls advise of any corrections? I've ignored tickets for the time being - Hoog is in charge of that side of things!! Tee hee!! Anyhew, I've got 13 for the Chiefs vs Dragons game already sorted

Prop, I've heard that the Hazell terrace is sold out already - I'd give the ticket office a call to see what else is available. I doubt it's completely sold out yet but you never know.

Stag: your place is not booked!!
So I have 3 spaces left on the saturday and 3 left on the monday (unless stag wants a lift back too?)
Lucky: it's sold out, what's the odds of me sneaking through if I get north terrace?

They've cracked down on that now, Prop - security guards and everything.
I'll take a seat for the journey back to Cardiff on the Monday if that's okay.

No Prop don't need a lift back. Ideally just a lift to there.
My plan on Monday is to head to Chester and see Munsty for few days.

I'm driving up to Bath on Sunday and will be able to pick 2 people up in Cardiff on the way Penfro and Mrs Penfro are involved. I know they are going to see Caerdydd v Caeredin on Friday and the Scarlets v Munster on Saturday, don't know their plans after that.

Morning.
Thanks for the info Hughie, but the times are a bugger for the flight back;and as I was counting on popping in to see the new animal at Kia's place on the Monday and stay the night(return flight Tuesday) I've rented a car that costs little more than the train

Morning all.
how's everyone?
best of luck to Mickado. text him there but not sure what it is/was at.
I will chat with Mickado tomorrow about the Bath trip (I know you are looking for numbers AS) - It was looking doubtful for me but I think might be able to swing it.
so depending on Micks plans *which I am sure hinder on his job prospects* then I will start trying to get something organised once and for all.
Sorry if I am messing anyone about for it. I really would love to get to the Bath game.

Cari, I've ordered you a ticket with me and the Micks. Don't feel pressured to take it; if you decide not to come I can give it to someone else - they aren't megamoney and there will be no shortage of people who want to come. But you know that the tickets there for you if you need.

Gibbo's grand Micky - got a text from him last night. He had visitors and he's meeting Ummm tonight I think.
Oh cheers Staggy. I'd really love to go cause I haven't been to the new stadium yet and to watch an Ireland match there would be fab.

I was reading this:

and they mention almost in passing that Fran Cotton's review of England's performance at the World Cup has been scrapped. Does anyone know why it's been scrapped?

So that was you Mick! I lost my numbers bro so now I've got yours
I think the Interview went well, I was prepared for a really tough set of questions and I didn't get it. Got to tell him all my strengths and why I'd add value to the team etc. it's a new role so he said once they hire the manager I'll get a second interview. Now we play the waiting game...
Here do most companies do drug tests before they hire ya? Coz I've. Een burning this insense you see and...ah forget it!
