Fire sale
HEARTS last night sensationally told their top earners to find new clubs.
Jambos chiefs admitted they want to flog their star men — as it emerged a winding-up motion against the club has been lodged.
David Templeton has already been offered to Rangers for a cut-price £500,000 fee.
Others will go in January as Hearts, owned by Vladimir Romanov battle desperately to overcome a crippling cash crisis. Bosses also warned players they do not know when Romanov will cough up unpaid wages.
The bombshell came at a crisis meeting yesterday.
Besides Templeton, a string of other players are also sure to attract bids.
Bristol City will be encouraged to step up interest in Ryan Stevenson. Hearts will also accept offers for Ian Black, Andrew Driver, John Sutton and Marius Zaliukas.
The news is bound to cast doubt on the future of boss Paulo Sergio. It would appear to confirm that Romanov is not prepared to put any more money into the club.
And it emerged last night that a winding-up petition — the third against the club in three years — is due to be heard at the Court of Session today.

Re: Fire sale
I would hate to be a Hearts fan with Romanov steering the ship, what a plonker.

Re: Fire sale
David Templeton at £500K is a bargain, quality wee player.

Yeah he would be ideal to replace Naismith User.

Re: Fire sale
Perfect opportunity for these players to jump from two sinking ships at one time. One Hearts, the other the SPL. Joining another club (Rangers) with a similarly leaky hull wouldn't be very clever.

Re: Fire sale
David Templeton would go to Celtic, for that price I'm sure Celtic would go in for him, I know the boy, well I'm good pals with his brother who is a mad blue nose like his old man (who was some player) but he's a heavy tim, doubt he'd move to Rangers if Celtic where interested, think he'd be a long term replacement for McGeady

Re: Fire sale
Templeton is decent but no replacement for McGeady. Aidan is a class apart from Templeton. Wouldn't be that bothered if we bought him Forrest and Commons are better.
