Myrtle Beach was intended to be a one-off to try the place, tick it off my list and move on somewhere else.
"Unfortunately", we've had such good times there that the "one off" event has now happened three years in a row and there is a strong chance it will happen again next year.
If it does, yes would love to meet up for a game or two and I'm sure that with enough persuassion and notice, we could get kwini along too

d4s,
Friend of mine just returned from a five day, nine round trip to MB!
You don't want my company down there on the course unless it's driving the drinks cart - sure you'd prefer something a little lovelier there though.
But my drinking is still at its normal high standard even though my golf has deteriorated sharply.

Can't wait until 2020 when I can legally buy a beer!
It really is a good thing, on non years I celebrate on 28th Feb with the obvious logic that it is a day earlier and in the same month.
Nobody forgets your birthday
Every fourth year is a bonanza.
Mind you in days gone by, on 'non' years days it took pretty good timimg for Dame Doon to give me my special birthday treat. [12 dongs of the clock.]

You won't be able to enjoy a slurp in the US until 2032. And then you'll be carded.

I don't think there's anyone on these boards I wouldn't enjoy a round with. I've already enjoyed the company of D4S, Doon the Water and Noshankingtonight. Feels like ive met a lot more but that's probably because I've also met a few of D4Ss buddies and Doon Daughter and his mate Deadly Derek.
Looking forward to hopefully meeting a few more next year. I have plenty of scope due to my location, singleton status and the fact that I have family in Ayrshire that I do visit on occasion. As many of you also know I have a tendency for travel especially to the states and would love to meet any of the US contingent for a game....long shot...Kwini, Shotrock...Pasatiempo 5 weeks today, Spyglass Hill 5 weeks tomorrow if you're interested!! I've the got the 4bbb tournament at PB that weekend before flying down to Cabo for a week over Xmas.

Twould be 'a honour and a privilege' Doon. However, as much as I love Castle Stuart, why don't we take your jet and fly to Florida for a game instead?

To be honest if either of them even came over to chat to me when I was at the range and try to offer a bit of advice Id say shove it Fats and Coco, mind your own beeswax. I would however ask Westy first if he thinks he'll ever win a major....

There's those double standards again, personally I find it quite offensive to make remarks about those with downs syndrome especially having seen it affect someone in my family, but knock yourself out Mac, just don't come all high and mighty next time someone disagrees with you regarding age, race, sex discrimantion etc.

Ok, so how exactly did my comment imply any negative connotations about anyone?
Anyway, no harm was meant and I apologise to those who may have been upset by it.

Not at all, if you looked back over the Race thread which I'm not going to keep addressing, you'll see that I said I do not condone racism, but could also see how Williams comments may have been meant differently,
The issue I took with Mac over his Downs comment is that he took my remarks about race out of context and sensationalised them like with SR's as though we condoned racism in private which we didn't and he felt it right to pick me up on that so i've just done one and the same thing and expressed my dislike of his comment regarding someone with a disability they were born with and does directly affect my family.
Thats not having the prverbial shoe on the other foot it's firmly in the same place and just expressing as Mac did my dislike for a flippant comment.

I can only hope you can accept my apology and I can assure you no insult was meant. It is a joke I have heard a few times that I did not think was meant to degrade those who have Down syndrome but rather just an observation about lee’s facial features. Again I am sorry and hope this does not leave you with a poor impression of my thoughts on the subject.

No worries Mac, as I say wasn't a case of me having the shoe on the other foot, just when something directly affects you, it does tend to make tolerance levels of flippant remarks a bit lower. But appreciate the sentiment offered mate

Mav I get what you say but honeslty very few folk on here will follow word for word every single debate you 3 get in to. I understand all the stances on the previous argument and in this latest case its a comment by Mac himself but there are similarities here and based on the usual 'stances' I thought it was a bit hypocritical. Nothing criminal in that I suppose but these constant tos and fros between the 3 of you are honestly becoming a sad state of affairs for the 3 of you and the forum I feel. Just my opinion.

Sorry if you think me taking offence to a remark that does affect me personally is hypocritical but fact is it affects me directly and therefore it offends I offer no apology for that.
With reagrds to the to's and fro's see them for what they are healthy debate and in many instances laced with an undercurrant of satire from all parties, and between the 3 of us there is no hard feeling I can assure you in fact i'm hoping when I'm touring rounda bit next year the 3 of us can have a round together. As for the forum well again between the 3 of us we get some good debate so imo thats healthy. Last Im saying on it thogh as it's getting boring

Mac, the hyprocritical bit wasn't just all for you know. Whilst your comment hit a Mav on a personal note, I half expected you to argue how it could be construed as offensive based on some of the arguments about recent events on here. You had more class than that so well done.
Anyway I'm probably being hypocritical in adding anything further.

I have met and enjoyed the company of D4S, Oldshanker, JAS, Smithersjones, The Ringer and LJ, but the match I would absolutely love to attend, as 'on-course referee' would absolutely most defintely be a Norf v Sarf affair and in the Blue (and White) corner would be the pairing of Mac and Super versus in the Red corner the pairing of Mercurio and Diggers. I would actually not only give up my day to watch this match but would even buy the first round after. The entertainment would just be that good......
