Pool1

Northampton Saints 5% [ 13 ]
Castres 4% [ 12 ]
Scarlets 3% [ 9 ]
Munster 2% [ 7 ]

Thats a big fall from grace for Munster, historically one of the Big performing European teams. Last years finalists Saints six votes ahead of Munster to win this weekend.

Pool 2

London Irish 7% [ 19 ]
Racing Métro 6% [ 15 ]
Cardiff Blues 2% [ 7 ]
Edinburgh 0% [ 1 ]

Cardiff Blues have already proved this vote incorrect with an Away Win over 5th placed top 14 team Racing Metro. London Irish are apparently almost certain to beat Edinburgh.

Pool 3

Bath 6% [ 15 ]
Leinster 4% [ 10 ]
Montpellier 3% [ 9 ]
Glasgow Warriors 1% [ 4 ]

This is an interesting one as the majority see Bath as able to win away in Glasgow but that current champions Leinster can not win away in Montpellier...?

Pool 4

Leicester Tigers 8% [ 20 ]
Clermont 5% [ 14 ]
Ulster 2% [ 5 ]
Aironi 0% [ 0 ]

Tigers and Clermont are clear favourites here. Both Italian teams have not to received a single vote that they may win this afternoon, the Airioni game is at home at the Stadio Brianteo in Monza, Italian sides do well at home.

Pool 5

Saracens 8% [ 21 ]
Biarritz 4% [ 12 ]
Ospreys 4% [ 10 ]
Benetton Treviso 0% [ 0 ]

Treviso are written off completely against Aviva prem top team Saracens despite their good form. Biarritz and Ospreys seen as a much closer result but with a slight support for Biarritz's away form.

Pool 6

Harlequins 7% [ 19 ]
Gloucester 4% [ 10 ]
Toulouse 4% [ 10 ]
Connacht 0% [ 2 ]

Connacht gave Harlequins a good fight last night at the Stoop and proved they are no minnows. Interesting Gloucester and Toulouse are on equal votes for the match at Stadium Ernest Wallon in Toulouse.

Glaws away form has not been great in recent times and I can see a TBP for Toulouse to be honest which will put them top of the pool.

Ospreys should see off Biarritz at home, as should Sarries against Treviso. Intriguing pool that one.

Your comment that Blues have proved the vote in that pool to be incorrect is in fact incorrect itself, as if either LI or Edinburgh get a TBP win they will top the top the group, so although the Blues have an excellent result in the bag last night, they may only sit second by half past three this afternoon.

I was referring to the stat that says more than twice as many people thought Blues would lose rather than win.

Good to see predictions got off on the wrong foot!?!

Blues beating the retreating Racing in Paris.
Connacht giving Quins a run for the loo in west London.

Shows why this competition is terrific. Not completely predictable, is it mates?

You should all show a bit more respect for your Leinster overlords.

FR

I am amazed that Leinster and Munster have been rated so lowly by so many.

It seems like the large majority favour the Avica and top 14 teams over the Celtic League sides.
