Roberts injury. Was it meant to be?
Very sad news, but the timing seems more than perfect for a Mr Orange man?
Mr Orange man was a possibility for a place in a squad against Racing Metro, but should now definitely be in the squad for the next Blues game.
He may also have a chance of actually starting the match in his best position of 12.
Mr Orange man & Laulala doesn't sound bad at all, but I would still choose Roberts any day of the week.
Then there's the possibility of Mr Orange man being in the Wales squad for the Oz match as Wales won't have an out and out international 12 & Hook is in France.
Then in the Six Nations who knows... JD2 & Scott Williams are both playing well, but if Mr Orange man is playing well then he has to be in the squad.

Henson is still injured and hasnt played - If Laulaula is fit then Henson MAY make the bench if fit - but Hewitt and Evans have far more gametime and should be ready to step up to the HC if needed.
He should be involved against Aironi the week after though.

Looks like he will be back next week,
"Jamie Roberts also retired hurt with minor ankle trouble that is not expected to keep him out of the clash with London Irish next Friday."

henson is still a few weeks off i believe.
If Roberts misses friday's game, i hope we go with Hewitt. Much better than Gavin Evans in both attack and defense

I agree, i don't know why Evans has been favoured more this year - though i'm guessing the reason he was selected on the bench on the weekend was because he is supposed to be able to cover wing better - Still, I think we would have got a lot more from Hewitt replacing Roberts than Evans, Hewitt is a similar to Roberts style as-well.

How did he manage to kick 16 points then?

BBC site suggests that Parks wasn't subbed at all - perhaps your are thinking of a different match?

Ohhh, I though you were taking about Roberts (because of the chin...)
Parks had his best game for the Blues, still a bit rubbish - but kicked well and kind of got the backs moving...
More importantly, I actually saw him run out of the line very quickly and try to make a tackle (he failed, but its the thought that counts)
