I am not saying Shingler was deliberate, just that it was a dreadfull tackle that deserved a red card.
I cannot comment on Ashton/Noth as staed in the appropriate post I was not watching. It is however irrelevant to whether Shingler should have been sent off.

This was my before the weekend started.............
Cardiff Blues v London Irish, Pl2, 20:00 X
Clermont Auvergne v Aironi, Pl4, 20:00 X
Edinburgh v Racing Metro 92, Pl2, 20:00 X
Northampton v Scarlets, Pl1, 20:00 X
Biarritz v Saracens, Pl5, 13:30 WRONG
Treviso v Ospreys, Pl5, 13:30 WRONG
Castres v Munster, Pl1, 15:40 WRONG
Gloucester v Harlequins, Pl6, 15:40 WRONG
Connacht v Toulouse, Pl6, 18:00 X
Leicester v Ulster, Pl4, 18:00 X
Leinster v Glasgow, Pl3, 12:45 X
Bath v Montpellier, Pl3, 15:00 X
Would have gone for Biarritz but kinda got swayed by beshocked convictions that Sarries are the top AP team and Biariritz are the bottom S14 team, and have to say but for the Ospreys draw, and "Iceman" ROG last second drop made, could have been 10 out of 12.
And I predicted the Scarlets (only 7 of us did that) ,,,whey hey self praise is no recommendation, but nothing wrong in attempting it

Sorry flyhalffactory. I genuinely thought we would win. Still got plenty to learn in the HC.
Biarritz are a much stronger side now their world cup players are back. I underestimated how much Harinorduquy lifts them.

Maestegmafia we missed our two first choice scrum halves - Richard Wigglesworth and Neil De Kock. That balanced things out!

beshocked wrote:thebandwagonsociety your predictions are really strange in my opinion.
You seem to think that the team bottom of the Top 14 will beat the English champions who have won 11 away in a row yet believe that Ulster will beat Leicester and Montpellier will beat Bath?
You're a mad man in my opinion!
Beshocked - you were quite right, I was mad and I freely admit. The Tigers comfortably held off Ulster in the end (thought it would be much closer at least). Montpellier played well but I think might turn their attention away from HC for the rest of this year.
