First topic message reminder :
Is it too early in the week to start this thread?
Don't care.
My local rugby calendar is clear for the day and I have two tickets for this beauty! The wife and I will be at Welford Road (she likes a bit of Toby) to cheer on the boys and looking forward to a great day.
Bring on the Irish Invasion!

No idea but if the match is on and they serve I don't care particularly. If I come up we'll have the car and might be over at the ormeau leisure centre before so the tap fits the bill.

Its not bad Kings. Trying to get the rugby crowd in during the games but to be honest this is the first chance this season as the away games havent been covered. Rugby is given priority over football though which is handy as Man Utd are playing at the same time on Saturday.

Fair enough stand. Its a pity the two matches were scheduled at the same time.

Connacht are facing a full strenght Toulouse, don't see them being able to do it, but its good for Connacht that big teams have to bring their first teams to Glaway, it's what the fans what to see. Hope Connacht can keep it close (sneak a win!).

I think the Ulster choices at centre at strategic. The bigger spence is up against the inventive but defensively untested academy centre forsyth whilst the clever cave is up against the experienced and solid 16 stone but unimaginative smith.
Ulster can going to lose the battle in the tight five. However, they have a backrow which is on a par and a better midfield. They need to exploit that and they miggt win if they play it cleverly and stop tigers controlling the entire game in the tight.

HT
9-9
Flood chooses to kick it out for half time instead of going on the attack, home crowd boo him.

Re: Tigers V Ulster
Stalemate so far. If both defences hold as well as they are at the moment, I think Tigers' pack, specifically the scrum, will haul them through. But if it opens up, it's anybodies game. Tigers' backs still seem low on confidence. Hope Youngs can spark them.

Humphreys stands so deep at times. Once he steps up to gain line he looks a threat. His error count is far too high though

Re: Tigers V Ulster
There's absolutely zero complaints from this Ulster fan. We nilled Clermont after half time last week through sheer guts and determination. This week they've done the same to us. We leave with nothing, and in truth the scoreline is a fair reflection- no matter how well we played.
Gutted to miss out on a bonus point, but you can see the potential in this Ulster team.
Big hand for Leicester Tigers

Re: Tigers V Ulster
So gutted by that. Ulster didn't do much wrong. But Leicester just defended so well. There were so many occasions when Ulster would have had a breakaway had it been a standard magners league match. But Leicester put 110% into defending.
Leicester fans might not believe how good we know the youngsters spence and gilroy are after that. They just were completly neutralised.
Is there something to be said for the tactics? was it all a bit repetitive in the backs? Is this because Spence isn't as well drilled in the moves at 12 as Wallace?

Also, i watched danielli closely tonight. He has to go. One point when Tuilagi bumped through Trimble and made a break. Danielli was a half metre beside trimbs and didnt think of a double tackle and then didnt even give chase.

Ben Youngs rescued us there. Very physical game but lacking spark from both teams though. The result tigers needed though.
