Survivor Series - no buzz?

I want to be looking forward to it, but for some reason i find myself not that bothered and considering not buying it and just catch up with spoilers.

anyone else feeling the same? if so what do you think wwe have done wrong?

I am self confessed Rock Mark and enjoyed having him back so far, but really think they have missed a trick putting him in a tag match with cena.

For me survivor series as a kid used to have at least 3 or 4 5on5 matches which i really enjoyed and would of loved if they done this and having the main event one involving the rock on cenas team with 3 top baby faces against the wwe 5 biggest heels, i really think this would of got me more intersted.

The thing is, back in the early days of Survivor Series it was so strange to see big names face each other that the thought of seeing a few 4 on 4 matches created a buzz in itself, now we see multiman tag matches on such a regular basis that it doesn't come across as a special attraction anymore, back in the 80s and early 90s you only really saw a star wrestle jobbers or the guy he was in a feud with, so seeing him lining up against another 3 guys felt special

Rumour has it that Undertaker is making a return at the Survivor Series.

Speculate people. Where can he get involved?

Key 103 my local radio station has been advertising Survivor Series all week, I've never known them to do this before... Not really sure what this tells us?

Im buzzing for Survivor Series and if truth be told its for one reason only!! Seeing the great one back in the ring. I cannot wait...i will happily admit i am huge fan and hugely biased but there is no one in the business right now (or indeed for quite some time) who can do what this man does...i posted this in the raw thread but will say it again:

One thing to say....! The Rock is freaking awesome...even though his promo wasnt up their as one of the best it still created a massive atmosphere. Regardless of whether he has been away or not...absolutly no one can create the buzz this guy can. Simply blows the roof of buildings whether he is mocking coach, staring down with SCSA...talking trash about the city he is in or simply delievering a rock bottom.

I prey to god that the rumours are true and he is sticking about for a run in the WWE after Wrestlemania!!.

This might sound really stupid, but I also think that the theme for this SS just doesn't fit. It shouldn't be so R&B. To me it should be more hardcore or a peice of music that builds anticipation....

Im delighted to have the rock back i really am but im still unsure on having him and Cena teaming together.

I really hope CM Punk beats del rio and hopefully carry the title into maina. I want Big Show to beat Mark Henry.

Wouldnt make any sense if the Undertaker comes back however it would make sense if Kane comes back

Well, you know what I mean. The music doesn't fit the theme of the PPV in my opinion. I never said that Flo Rida sucked, I just don't think the music fits the PPV.

No I see your point mate. Flor Rida was ok when he first came out, but now he brings out the same old rubbish dance music.

But back to topic, it doesnt really fit the theme as you say.

Personally for me, I'm not sure about how Morrison is suddenly in title contention for the US Title? I thought Ziggler was facing Ryder for it?

Yeah I'm not entirely sure wht Morrison merits a title shot either, I like him and know he's far better than Ryder but Morrison apart from a fluke win hasn't done anything to deserve a title shot, that being said, I expect this match to be made a triple threat either before Survivor Series or just before the match

I like the fact Ziggler is doing double duty again, I think this is something that could turn into a bit of a gimmick over the next few PPV's

Not sure how they could do it at TLC but he could defend the US Title at the Rumble then enter the Rumble and defend the US Title at EC and enter the Elimination Chamber, it could be interesting

Gaffer - I think that JoMo is there so that either Zig can go over looking strong or drop the belt without having to lose.

Agreed on the doubling up bit. I would expect to see a defence against Ryder at TLC followed by some kind of multi way tag match for the tag team belts.

Is it confirmed that Ziggler is having two matches (for the 2nd PPV in a row!)

I won't be watching it live tonight as I have to go to work at 4am tomorrow, so I've decided that I'm going to come on here after work and see what the overall reaction to it is before viewing it myself.

I just ordered it, was gonna stream it but nothing beats getting the feet up on the recliner and watching it in 51 inch 3D heaven

What's everyone think? Are they pulling the trigger on a Cena heel turn? Could the New York crowd turn on The Rock?

I cant see a heel turn for Cena tonight. I cant see how it could happen. Even if he chins Rock after the match, or costs him the match victory, people will just view it as hype for their Mania match.

He would really need to pull the stops out, choke him, leave him half dead, battered with a chair 30 times. (Cant see Rock going over like that though)

Yeah I'm a touch disappointed that I'm working tomorrow as it would have been good to see Rock's return to the ring. I'll just have to catch up online tomorrow.

I wanted Cena to turn tonight but I don't think it'll happen.

I'm still expecting HHH to turn heel and face Punk at Mania so Punk can go over cleanly, after that in order to help keep control HHH screws Rock out of the title and Cena turns heel

If Cena ever turns heel, it'll be at mania on the Rock in Miami. That's the only way I can see him turning, however if that does happen all the events leading into mania will be retrospectivly explain as suble hints to it
