WWE Survivor Series Spoilers Empty WWE Survivor Series Spoilers

Post by Fernando Mon 21 Nov 2011, 2:55 am

Dark Match Result:

Santino Marella beat Jinder Mahal in a dark match prior to tonight's WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

WWE Survivor Series Opener:

We open the show with a video package that highlights the main feuds heading into tonight, with a lot of time spent on the Cena/Rock vs. Awesome Truth match, of course.

The pyro hits and Michael Cole welcomes us to Survivor Series. The announcers hype some new kind of social network hub on WWE.com, and this leads directly into John Laurinaitis coming out. He lets the people know his exact title before saying tonight is his tenth anniversary here in WWE, on top of being the 25th anniversary of Survivor Series. This makes little sense as this leads us directly into the US Championship match. John Morrison is out first, getting a pretty weak reaction from the crowd.

WWE United States Championship
- Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. John Morrison

The bell rings and we're ready to begin. The crowd is chanting that they want Ryder. Both men lock up and Dolph takes Morrison down to the mat and slaps at the back of his head before bailing to the outside to avoid Morrison's ire. Ziggler heads back into the ring and we get another lock up. Both men try for hammerlocks before Morrison takes Ziggler down to the mat with an arm bar. Ziggler fights off Morrison and beats and stomps on him in the corner.

Morrison avoids a charging Ziggler in the corner but eats a dropkick anyway. Ziggler takes Morrison over with a side head lock and the crowd is still chanting about Ryder. Morrison breaks the hold but falls to a shoulder block. Morrison is back on his feet and he tries for a hip toss but Ziggler lands on his feet. Morrison grabs his legs, slingshots him into the corner and sends him over the top rope. Morrison follows to the outside with a corkscrew plancha over the top before sending Ziggler back into the ring.

Morrison argues with Guerrero on the outside before getting back into the ring and the distraction allows Ziggler to hit a neck breaker for a near fall. Ziggler hits a beautiful high elbow drop. He gloats to the crowd before taking Morrison over with a fireman's carry for another near fall. Ziggler tries to wear JoMo down with a rear chin lock.

Morrison is able to fight up to his feet and out of the hold before being slammed back down to the mat by his hair. Ziggler kicks at Morrison, taunting and slapping him as well. Ziggler chokes Morrison with his boot while pulling on his hair. Ziggler slaps Morrison across the face, and this enrages Morrison, leading to him putting Ziggler in the corner and pounding away. The ref breaks things up and this allows Ziggler to hit an awesome suplex for another near fall.

Ziggler goes for the sleeper but Morrison tosses him off. Morrison hits a couple of clotheslines, a big kick to the jaw, and a neckbreaker for a near fall of his own. Ziggler kicks at Morrison's shins before going for a roll up with the tights. Morrison kicks out and he's able to connects with a springboard kick to the side of Ziggler's head for another two count. Morrison goes for a neckbreaker but he's pushed off. Ziggler goes for a head scissors, but floats around into a sleeper. Morrison reverses into a sleeper of his own, and when Ziggler fights it off Morrison hits a huge DDT, but Guerrero gets Ziggler's foot on the ropes to break the count. The ref sees it, so he sends Vickie to the back.

Vickie is furious, screaming the whole way to the back. Morrison picks Ziggler up and tries for a suplex but it's blocked by Ziggler, countered into a roll up for two. Morrison goes for a kick to the face but Ziggler moves and both men trade roll ups. Ziggler connects with the rocker dropper and goes for a pin but he still can't get three.

Ziggler goes for the sleeper again but he's shrugged off. Morrison hits a big knee to the side of Ziggler's head. Morrison goes for starship pain, but Ziggler gets his knees up and Morrison crashes into them. Ziggler connects with the Zig Zag, getting the three count and retaining his title.

Winner and STILL US Champion: Dolph Ziggler

Following the match Vickie runs right down to the ring to celebrate with her client/boyfriend. Vickie has the mic and she wants the crowd to excuse her before handing the mic to Ziggler. Ziggler says he'd hate to follow that. He says some people think he's a showoff, but it's not showing off if you back it up every night. The crowd is still chanting for Ryder, but Ziggler says he's not even here. Ziggler says he's not showing off, he's just really really good at what he does.

Ziggler's music is interrupted by Zack Ryder. Ryder gets ambushed right after getting into the ring, but Ryder fights back and connects with the Rough Ryder to send Ziggler out of the ring. Ziggler leads the crowd in a chant of 'woo woo woo', and he's got these fans more amped up than the whole first match (and that match was really good, too).

WWE Divas Championship
Lumberjill Match
- Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Eve

The divas who are acting as Lumberjill's make their way to the ring first, as a group. Eve is the first competitor to make her way out to the ring, to a bit of a reaction from the crowd. I haven't said it yet, but I have to say MSG looks a lot different, and I kind of miss the old set up. It looks like any other arena now.

Beth Phoenix is out next with Natalya in tow, she gets a bit of a reaction too.

The bell rings and we're ready to begin. Both women lock up and Beth pushes Eve away. Eve responds with a big forearm and she tries for a cross body but Beth catches her and just drops her to the mat. Eve kicks away at Beth before shaking her butt in Beth's face. Beth bails to the floor but she's sent right back in. Eve hits a neckbreaker and a standing moonsault for a near fall.

Eve goes to the apron and she's distracted by the heel diva's, this allows Beth to get the upper hand, and she slingshots Eve while her head is underneath the bottom rope. Beth locks in a rear chin lock, mounting Eve, to wear her down. Eve fights out of the hold, and is able to send Beth into the corner before hitting a flurry of elbows and kicks, finished off by a clothesline.

Eve goes for a senton but Beth gets her knees up and Eve crashed into them. Beth tries for the glam slam but Eve fights it off, locking in what looks to be an octopus hold. Beth is able to break the hold. Both women go for roll ups but can't get the win. Eve hits a big kick to the side of Beth's face. Eve goes up to the top, but Beth pushes her down on the top rope. Beth goes up to the top, but Eve fights back. Eve continues to try and fight back, but Beth grabs her arm, and delivers a glam slam from the top rope! Beth gets the three count to retain.

Winner and STILL WWE Divas Champion: Beth Phoenix

Rock says Cena got his wish, but what he never counted on was that the Rock never comes alone. As he can clearly hear, Rock brings 17,000 strong, and they're going to take a lightning bolt and shoot it up Cena's ovulating lady parts. This gets a 'lady parts' chant going. Rock says everyone knows how special Madison Square Garden is. Frank Sinatra performed out there. Ali/Frazier was the fight of the century in this arena. Rock says tonight he wakes up in a city that never sleeps. Rock asks the crowd for help, and begins singing 'New York, New York'.

Rock says boots to asses, it's on, if you smell what the Rock is cooking!

5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Match
- Team Orton (Randy Orton, Sheamus, Mason Ryan, Kofi Kingston & Sin Cara) vs. Team Barrett (Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Hunico & Dolph Ziggler)

Wade Barrett is the first man from his team to make his way down to the ring. I can't tell if it's the new layout of the arena, or what, but this crowd seems pretty subdued for an NYC crowd. Jack Swagger is out next, and he too gets a pretty poor reaction.

Ziggler is the third man out for his team, saying 'oh, I'm gonna follow me' on his way out. Hunico is out next, and the crowd are absolutely sitting on their hands. Cody Rhodes is the final man out to the ring for his team, and he gets a decent reaction from the crowd. Cody is sans mask.

He talks about taking them out to a Mexican restaurant, but he's interrupted by Johnny Ace, who doesn't know if Del Rio is taking tonight's match seriously. Del Rio asks if he watched Raw? Del Rio says tonight will be the first of many WWE Title defenses in Madison Square Garden. He asks if Ace has forgotten who he's talking to. He says he won't lose his belt to someone who should be sleeping on the subway. When Del Rio walks off, Ace hops on his phone to begin texting. Cole starts to say something, but he's cut off as we go to a promo for WWE's anti-bullying campaign.

- Cole says that the ring crew has reinforced the ring, and they're actually checking it again before Henry vs. Big Show to make sure it's sturdy before the next match. This leads us to footage of WWE Vengeance last month when Mark Henry superplexed the Big Show and the ring was destroyed as a result.

World Heavyweight Championship
- Mark Henry (c) vs. Big Show

We get formal ring introductions for both men, and we're ready to kick things off.

Truth tries for a cross body, but Cena rolls through, and stands up with Truth. Cena tries to shoulder Truth, but Truth avoids it and plants Cena with a front suplex for another two count. Truth mounts Cena with a couple of punches before tagging back out to Miz.

Miz kicks at Cena while taunting the Rock the whole time. Cena is able to avoid a kick and he locks Miz into the STF, but Truth is in to break it up. Cena shoulders Truth and plants him with the AA, but Cena can't take advantage.

Miz tags back in and takes out Rock to avoid Cena making the tag. Truth attacks Rock on the outside of the ring, body slamming him chest first into the barricade. Back in the ring, Miz makes the tag to Truth, and Rock comes in to try and get some revenge. It doesn't work as the ref is distracted and it allows Miz and Truth to double team Cena for another near fall. Truth locks in a front face lock.

Truth puts Cena down to the mat, and tries for some kind of weird fancy leg drop, making fun of the People's elbow I'm sure, but Truth misses it. Both men are able to make the tag and the Garden explodes. Rock comes in beating on both men. Rock plants Miz with the DDT before hitting Truth with the Rock Bottom. Rock takes Miz over with an arm drag and locks in the sharpshooter. Miz screams and tries to reach for the ropes, but Rock pulls him to the middle of the ring. Truth breaks up the hold, but he's speared by Cena and he and Truth fight to the outside.

Miz tries to take advantage, punching and kicking at Rock, but Rock connects with a spinebuster out of nowhere. Rock walks around Miz's body toward his head. He reaches up and pulls off his elbow pad before delivering the People's elbow. Rock goes for the pin, and this one is over.

Winner: John Cena and The Rock

After the match, Rock celebrates in the ring, posing in the corners. Cena applauds Rock as he makes his way toward the back. Rock calls for the crowd to quiet down, and his music to stop. He doesn't look too happy with Cena clapping for him. Cena makes his way back into the ring. Cena poses on the turnbuckle, but gets nothing but heat for it. Cena comes back into the ring, and he and Rock have a few words.

Rock goes up to the corner to pose again, getting a ton of love from the crowd, but when Cena goes up he gets a ton of heat yet again. Rock shakes his head at Cena. Rock says he wants to do this one more time, so he tells Cena to watch him. Rock goes up to another corner to pose again, and the crowd loves him.

Cena and Rock stand face to face in the ring and have words. Cena goes to leave, but Rock plants him with a Rock Bottom. Cena rolls out of the ring and a ways up the entrance ramp. The PPV ends with Rock staring down Cena as Cena makes his way to the back. Rock circles the ring one last time, thanking the fans, before climbing the turnbuckle for one final pose of the night.

Really enjoyed Survivor Series. Well worth the cash on box office. Some great spots, Punk winning was brilliant, crowd in MSG was epic, Rock looked sharp in the ring. Hell, even the Divas match was good!

Well done WWE!

Great PPV, will look at it again in the cold light of day but the crowd was amazing, there wasn't a bad match on the car, though the WHC match will be remembered for one thing, Orton was pinned and Cena was the seller for the hot tag, Punk winning was amazing and despite what I wrote about not being too enthused for the Rock's comeback I marked the f' out (silently mind) when his music hit, there match delivered everything it needed to and early signs suggest Rocky still has it (I forgot just how fast and smooth he was).

Can't wait for Raw tomorrow morning now.

After the This is You Life skint on RAW last week, I proposed the Cena's heel turn would become more likely. After the ending of Survivior Series, and the posing at the end, I think a heel turn is odds on.

The WWE are playing on the heat Cena is getting, rather than brushing it under the carpet previously.

I am hoping, praying that this is a slow build up to WrestleMania. Just little instances over the next few weeks of Cena getting more and more irritated. There is 5 more months to WM.........I really do think that this is going to happen now.

As for the rest of the card

Daniel Bryan didn't even feature in a dark match this time. Seriously worried for him now.

Ryder looks to be gunning for a US Title reign. I can see Ziggler dropping the belt and becoming an alternative to Rhodes in the push to the top.

Beth won again......point for me on the prediction league. Nuff' said

Barrett's push continues....but what next? I would have said Sheamus is someone he could feud with, but he seems to be busy with Swagger. The lack of faces means he is stuck in limbo for now. Maybe if Ryder does win the US belt, Wade could push for him.

CM Punk wins.....thank God. Now watch del Rio go into freefall. A couple of PPV's of them together, and then Punk can concentrate on HHH, when he has finished with the Nash experiment. Or as left field alternatives, a returning Jericho or (at a push) Undertaker.

Reads like an excellent card and PPV, and I'll see if I can get it on youtube later.

I'm interested to see how Rock looked in the ring, but it sounds like it was pretty sharp, and considering the shape he's in, I'm not shocked.

And everything does seem to be set up for Cena to turn heel at some stage. But I still don't think it'll happen. I think they'll be shaking hands after the WM match (Cena wins for me, still) and Rock 'endorses' Cena to the fans.

A bit surprised they have taken it off Del Rio already, just recently he'd started to feel more like an actual champion. But in fairness I never rated him that highly. I guess now he might fall down the card for a while at least. Punk no doubt is the natural champion for the WWE at the moment though.

So I decided not to order it because I am working today. Then my stupid insomnia has me awake until after 6am anyway.

What a total waste...I would have preferred to stay up and watch that. I guarantee if I had ordered it, I would have fallen asleep before the first match too!

Sounds like a pretty good PPV though. I'll be checking it out online later today when I get home.

This sounds like real cheap and crap advertisment, but now that SS is done, can you guys look at he Tree of the E and see who moves up or down. Would like a lot of feedback before I change it in a few days. Then I won't change it again until after the next PPV. Cheers.

What a great PPV, well done WWE. There were so many positives for me. Rock looking as good as ever (is he taking stuff? looks ridiculously jacked). Ziggler for me is the best wrestler in WWE right now, if only they figure out a way to get him the reactions he desrves (I feel he is ready to break away from Vickie and model himself as being the new Mr Perfect). Cody is getting very popular indeed, can see him being involved in the WHC match at WM 12, probably vs Orton. By the way, I fear Orton is going to have to slightly tweak his character and become more sinister again to avoid fans becoming bored of him. I had no expectations whatsoever for Show and Henry, but fair play to Show that was some elbow. Ryder was very popular in NYC. Well done Beth and Eve, poor Eve looked terrified though. Miz and R Truth did well not be completely forgotten in the match, despite having little spotlight on them. And finally to Cena, I firmly believe come Wrestlemania he will have about 40% of the fans and he is stepping it up in the ring also. I feel the most anticipated heel turn of all time is imminent.

RE: Cara, I think you could tell it was legit as soon as he landed. Pretty poor that a luchador can't nail the basic of moves, but hey ho, accidents happen.

Very enjoyable PPV, first time I've watched one start to finish for ages.

The Rock looked awesome too, never a doubt that he'd lost it.

Quality show again by the WWE, it's been a while since they put out continually good PPV's

Ziggler and Morrison set the tone well, kept expecting Ziggler before the match started, at least this sets up their feud for TLC

Good Survivor Series match too, my immediate reaction was Sin Cara is wellnessed again but I'm reading he's legit injured, shame the had Dolph pinned right away, seemed a bit to obvious, don't understand why Barrett was the captain or got the win, he's the third most over guy in that team

Big Show/Henry sucks, Henry has peaked in his role and Show ain't a guy who'll make people want to watch him as champion, awesome top rope elbow though.

Glad they finally put the stap back on Punk, Del Rio isn't the worst but no-one wanted to see anyone as champ other than Punk after his rise in the summer, Del Rio after TLC will be best suited to going under the radar again until after WrestleMania, good to see Punk winning with the Anaconda Vice, Punk going crazy when he applies it really helps to sell it.

Rocks finally back!
How good did he look? A lot of people forget how fast and crisp he is/was, it's often overlooked that he can actually wrestle, it'd be almost impossible to grow up in that family and not learn how to, I love the aggression and intensity he brings, thats the things I miss most nowadays, everyone seems to cosy, Rock looks, walks and acts like a complete badass, his timing was great but to be fair Truth and Miz both used a few of their days off to go and train with him so it's not all down to him, as jacked as he looks I've also never seen him look so trim

Loved the Rock Bottom at the end although why Cena landed on his ass and hips instead of flat back I'll never know

If Cara is legit I think you're being harsh, if it's legit it can only be from the take off, he didn't land on his left leg at all, that would also explain why he couldn't clear the top rope

Survivor Series was very enjoyable for me last night, however, I have both good and points about the event as a whole.

Good

- Ziggler retaining his U.S. Belt
- Beth retaining her Diva's Championship
- Barrett and Rhodes winning as the 2 sole survivors.
- Big Show not winning the WHC
- Punk winning the WWE Championship, very enjoyable match
- The Rock's smoothness in the ring and potential inclination of a Cena heel turn at the end.
- MSG crowd was brilliant.

Bad

- Ryder didn't wrestle in New York City
- Ziggler wrestling 2 matches again. No point in being involved in the 2nd match.
- The Big Show - Henry DQ ending.
- Cena looked ridiculously weak compared to The Rock.

Cena is ridiculously weak compared to Rock though in terms of look, promo's, move set, speed, intensity, aggression and 'IT'

I've no idea what Vince is doing to be honest, he's hanging his money maker out to dry

Sin Cara update :

The official Twitter feed of the WWE Insider stated this evening that Sin Cara suffered a ruptured patellar tendon and will be sidelined for six to nine months, following surgery.

The masked grappler suffered the injury while performing a dive outside the ring during the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match. He was left unable to compete and therefore eliminated.

I watched it on a 51' screen HD and rewinded it about 8 times, he doesn't land on his left leg at all, I think the reason he hit the rope is because he felt it snapping as he left the ground, it was for me so obvious he didn't land on it that my initial thought was he's wellnessed

It was a solid PPV. I watched it earlier and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Ziggler and Morrison put on a clinic. Morrison was fantastic and the best I have seem him wrestle in ages. Ziggler is just brilliant at the moment. He does have shades of Curt Hennig about him. I love it. I can even tolerate Vicki because she helps enhance his character.

The Divas match. Well Beth is in a league of her own and with Natalyia with her just renders the others useless. Didn't do much for me.

The SS 5 man match had highs and lows. Barrett reminds me of M Bison out of Street Fighter 2. Ziggler should've not been eliminated first. Was a shame to see. Cara sustain that injury. Poor guy. I thought at first it was a botch until the replays. Rhodes was immense and as was his reaction. Credit to Ryan for the way he put Rhodes over. It was a superb finish to that exchange. Orton was flawless in his ring work. No idea why they had Sheamus get DQ'd like that. Kinda ruined it for me. Would have liked Rhodes to have been the sole survivor in that match.

Henry and Big Show was just 2 big guys flopping each other. Big Shows elbow being the only highlight.

Great to see CM Punk win the gold. Del Rio for a mixed martial artist has no fluid movement and it appears 'chunky' none the less it was a good match.

The Rock and Cena v The Awesome Truth was a good match. Cena and Miz were solid and Rock was in fine shape, I wish he was back full time. Predictable finish though.

3.5/5

Fantastic ppv

The crowd were superb all night and made the 14:95 well spent !

Great opening to the night with Ziggler winning. Loved the we want Ryder chants. Diva's match was acctually pretty good. The 5 on 5 match was very good. Anyone have an update on Sin Cara ? Great to see a win for Wade Barret hopefully the start of a big push. Big Show vs Mark Henry had a stupid ending hopefully Mark will have to surender the title due to "injury"

CM PUNK CM PUNK CM PUNK CM PUNK CM PUNK !

Says it all. I went mental when he won just as mental when he beat Cena back at money in the bank. Another classic Punk match. Hopefully he can keep the title right up to mania.

The Rock still has it. His promo earlier on in the night was worth £14:95 in its self. Great tag team match. Love the guy so much hopefully he can stick around after mania.
