The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Rhys Priestland, Cian Healy, or the special one of Charlize Theron and Gibbo above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Lads you'll all get the chance to go I'll let you know of our prices don't worry
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Stag - seriously let me know the prices. My best mate and I were talking about it on Friday after the Scarlets match (admittedly the drink may have influenced us).We were both gutted we couldn't make it out to NZ and really want to make some form of rugby tour in the nearish future.

I won't be in a position to be going there anytime soon Stag unfortunately.
I will be hoping to catch the next World cup. would be an absolute crime not to.
but anything before then will be too soon for me

Stag I wouldn't mind some info on the lions tour. A life long friend of mine recently emigrated to Oz and a couple of us have earmarked the lions tour as a potential trip. Couldn't have worked out any better actually. Sober now and I kept down my midnight fajita wrap. Willy 1 Peachello mixer 0.

Mymy -
I'm always called Uncle Mick, i'm pretty sure they think "Uncle" is part of my name. Amanda gets called Panda, which she really likes.
I won't be going to Aus unless i strike oil in my toilet or find pictures of Simon Cowel fellating a donkey. Fingers crossed!

If there’s one thing I don’t think I’ll ever understand it’s international politics.
It's lucky one of us does then. Nation states are like spoilt unruly children with no parents to keep them in check. They are all selfish and the bigger ones are bullies. In the last hundred years they have tried to create supra-national authority to keep them in check, but that only works whilst the big kids are prepared to play ball. See? Any questions.

To think, my very own brother would have to stay up late with a screaming child all because of me put such a smile on my face….

Somehow Hugh I don't see that being the case. I'll be lucky to go for free. The Lions tour will be packed to the rafters we have several hundred enquiries already and people are looking forward to visiting friends and relatives.

Part if the time, like. Wouldn't want e'n to be quiet and still all of the time. Mine was just about to start demolishing the place on the meet when we moved on to the stadium, she was just getting comfortable in the company and confident.

A year and a bit. He only played a handful of games at the start of last season, he wasn't BAD, but obviously something happened because he wasn't even being picked for the A team. Good luck to him though.

Reading about the extraordinary reports leaked regarding England's WC. For rugby's sake I hope there's a lot of artistic license been taken.

It is a bit strange alright Bikkies.
He managed 2 seasons at Ulster but has now spent 1 season in each of 3 different clubs.
Leinster had loaned/sent him to French side Narbonne(?) as injury cover and now he's off to Wasps.
Lot of moving about.

Ah Narbonne. Yeah I read that he was just a medical “joker” there. (not sure what that expression is about - jokers wild?)

I do wonder if there are "issues" which have lead to him only lasting 1 season at so many clubs.
I forgot Matt Williams was there. And to think he left Ulster to spend more time in Oz.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
You know he was the anchor man on all of the WC games for setanta too?
I see Nathan Hines was making a few sarky remarks towards him on twitter. Basically Williams had an article in the paper about how some teams are professional by name but not attitude, he said there were too many players “built like tarzan with the skills of jane”, and commented how Leinster and Ulster had improved because of the measures he put in place. Wagga just said “he does make 1 good point, Leinster and Ulster have been more successful since he left!”. Raaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr!

I really like Williams as a pundit but I have a feeling Wagga isn't the only player who has been rubbed up the wrong way by him

I didn't know he retired from international rugby As.

What happened between Hines and Williams? When did their paths cross before in an international context?
