The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Rhys Priestland, Cian Healy, or the special one of Charlize Theron and Gibbo above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Afternoon all. Jeebus, if you pull off that itinerary for the HEC 'tour' I will be impressed . Very ambitious. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan.
I came by a book the other day called 'The Lighter Side of Rugby', which is full of amusing and interesting stories. One of which involved Matt Dawson.
He was at the England v Australia game at Twickenham in 1982, when a certain Erica Roe made her legendary topless appearance on the pitch. The incident inspired him to play rugby.
Speaking after the RWC Final in 2003, Dawson recalled what inspired him to be a rugby international. "I wanted to play for England so I could get on the same pitch as Erica Roe." "Instead all I did was get on the same pitch as Martin Johnson."

Ah, that would make sense Munsty - it's a word you get in older works of literature but no one really uses it now, do they?
Asbo: that's correct, but only in the case of the Amazonian @rse-coloured spider.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
When i was in college we were at a pub quiz and the question was
what is the only anagram of the word "mainstreet"
So, thinking we were right smartarses, put down "martensite" which is a very hard form of steel that occurs after you quickly cool steel after heating it.
The answer was teminates, but that didn't stop us taking out our materials technology text book to prove him wrong. David Brent went home to get a book to prove that Mr Spock was half man, half Vulcan. We weren't far behind...

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
For Micky T, he's running lowous:
1. The wife was counting all the 1p's and 2p's out on the kitchen table when she suddenly got very angry and started shouting and crying for no reason. I thought to myself "She's going through the change."
2. When I was in the pub I heard a couple of Tinkywinky saying that they wouldn't feel safe on an aircraft if they knew the pilot was a woman. What a pair of sexist idiots. I mean, it's not as if she'd have to reverse the bloody thing!
3. Little Johnny is sitting in geography class when the teacher asks him, "Where is Pakistan?" He replies, "Outside playing with person of Asian descent-Dave".
4. Local Police hunting the 'knitting needle nutter' who has stabbed six people in the arse in the last 48 hours, believe the attacker could be following some kind of pattern.
5. Bought some 'rocket salad' yesterday but it went off before I could eat it!
6. A teddy bear is working on a building site. He goes for a tea break and when he returns he notices his pick has been stolen. The bear is angry and reports the theft to the foreman. The foreman grins at the bear and says "Oh, I forgot to tell you, today's the day the teddy bears have their pick nicked."
7. A stupid person says to another stupid person "What ya talkin to an envelope for?" "I'm sending a voicemail ya stoopid feicer!"
8. Just got back from my mate's funeral. He died after being hit on the head with a tennis ball. It was a lovely service.
9. 19 stupid people go to the cinema, the ticket lady asks "Why so many of you?" one replies, "The film said 18 or over."
10. An Asian fellow has moved in next door. He has travelled the world, swum with sharks, wrestled bears and climbed the highest mountain. It came as no surprise to learn his name is Bindair Dundat.

Game of the decade? Yes so far. Metro should have gone for the try at the death. It will go down with the 2007 Toulouse/Scarlets match and last year's final as one of the greatest comebacks in Heineken Cup if not rugby history.
