First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Rhys Priestland, Cian Healy, or the special one of Charlize Theron and Gibbo above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Nah Oz - heading into work in the morning to clear up stuff before Dubai. Then off to The Wheatsheaf in Ealing for the Baa Baas game followed by Saints v Sarries. I suspect the latter game might be a tad tedious.

I hope you see a good game. What with your suspensions and our injuries (losing Chris Bell is a blow as he's been very good this season) it will be interesting to see some new combos being tried. Waldouck and Daly in the centre could cause havoc for us. However, our poor discipline will most likely see us defeated by the howitzer boot of Homer. Sad

Yeah, neither of us have first choice backlines out, so will be interesting to see how it goes. I think we need to get ahead, as Simpson could be a danger off the bench for you late on.

Hi Glas.

Got some potentially exciting news - the forum might be getting a mention in the Daily Mail tomorrow. Thanks to a member on here, a journalist called me up to comment on the RFU debacle.

I told him that Rb Andrew wasnt to blame. It was the immigrants and Lady Di in cahoots that was responsible for the England teams failings in NZ.

And me Irish mate here in the pub offered me congratulations on getting the job of England rugby manager. I told him "You're wrong Pat, Mickey Mouse has landed that gig."

Jeebus, what a feicen shambles the RFU are mad.

Just a personal view but Andrew is clinging on because he knows he won't get another job in rugby. He's basically forcing a compensation case by claiming he is not responsible (continuously trotting out his exact remit), thus leading to a claim of unfair dismissal if he is pushed.

His describing his involvement with the England 1st team as 20% of his job beggars belief. That it might be, but it's 90%+ of the public's and media's focus.

Right, I'm off to spontaneously combust.

Laugh

The power of the people is to strike. Boycot the national anthem at the Wales and Ireland games in the 6 Nations. A silent protest. Advertise it well in advance. Ok they will blast the choir out but the TV cameras will pick out tight lipped White shirted supporters. Then when the game starts make MORE noise than usual to show your support for the players.

Ask Hobo to sort it, he's good at that sort of thing.

Pretty awful first half from Ulster. Loads of handling errors within touching distance of the glasgow line, lost lineouts etc. and Humphreys has just shanked an easy enough penalty well wide. Very wet conditions.

Glasgow lead 9-3 at half-time. Pretty brutal game of rugby.

My mate is watching the derby in the pub in Ealing. He rackons several Dragons players are playing well, despite them being 19-9 down when he last texted me.

The Dragons discipline seemed to let them down towards the end. I wasn't paying much attention to be honest though, as I was emailing someone at the same time, but their no.8 went into the bin and they gave away a couple of penalties towards the end. They also missed out on the LBP.

Works is going very well. I seemed to have picked things up quickly which is good, and the locals are a sound bunch. The commute's not so bad really - as you's expect travelling in a city at seven in the morning and half four in the afternoon.

How's Hook doing tonight Chef?

Do the Welsh regs (or anyone else) think we are going to see a win v Aus, and a successful 6N?

Hook is pretty anonymous, in an insipid USAP team;he missed an easy penalty, but I don't think that will change the result.10 mins to go, USAP down to 14 men and 12 points behind.

Worcester beat Bath, who fail to even get a losing bonus point. Great result for the Warriors, who push Leicester into 11th place in the table. They really have to win tomorrow at Kingsholm.
