The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Rhys Priestland, Cian Healy, or the special one of Charlize Theron and Gibbo above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

That he most definitely is
12 - 17 to Leinster now.
And ot a bad start to the baabaa's match. Australia 3-0 up already but it's been a fairly entertaining first 10 mins.

Fairly disappointing Baa Baas game so far. Good try by Ioane though.
The gents at the pub are being refurbed and there's one of those blue portaloos outside. It is known as The Turdis

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
that did just make me giggle a bit Hound.
Treviso 20- 23 Leinster latest score, about 10 mins left I reckon
6-3 to Gloucester at HT against the Tigers.
My stream has gone funny for the Baabaa's match so have given up, it hadn't really got flowing properly anyway after a promising start.

Turner has just gone over in the corner... 18-3. Right on HT.
Will the Baa-baas make the traditional comeback in the 2nd half?

18-3 to Oz at h/t dreamer and well deserved. 3 tries for Oz, and a bizarre end to the half. Oz score in the corner and O'Connor lines up the conversion. Stringer spots JOC move towards the ball and he sprints out and picks the ball off the tee. Poite allows the play

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Half time.
Exiles 9 Pests 6
Not a great spectacle, errors from both sides and neither generating enough quick ball to be really threatening. Daly and Wade look elusive for Wasps but haven't seen enough ball. Nearest to scoring a try was Hodgson for us from a quick tap penalty but he was stopped about a yard short.
Homer has missed a kickable one and 9-6 is about a fair reflection of the half.

Evening Thomond.
Well, the Baa Baas was boys against old men and it showed.
Saints are destroying Sarries and I'm heading homeward.
Hic!
Enjoy your beer Glas, Sounds like there's not much else.

Congrats on the win Ozzy, but I'm taking the Welsh view. We outscored you on tries
Not a great day. Ealing lost at Cov too . Mind you, if you told me three seasons ago that Ealing would be playing Cov in a league game, and we'd be top of that league at the time, I would thought you were insane
Plus that morning at work today has left me a little draiined. Feic all to do with the beer drunk this afternoon you understand

Enjoyed that Saints v Saracens match. Foden really made a difference. Wilson never seems to have a bad game

Sure, it's only a game Cari. I get over games pretty quickly win or lose, and good luck to your Os. It's windy here, so I can only guess what it's like in Galway.
Better news though...the first Ecclefechan Tarts of the festive season have been purchased. Love 'em

To be fair, you always looked more likely to score a try than we did. Strange old finish to the game. 21-12 with just over 3 mins to go you broke left to right and had a 3 on 1, Haughton carrying with I think Varndell and Wade outside him. Homer did fantastically to not allow Haughton to straighten, and also didn't commit to early and bought time for our scramble defence to get across. Wasps then went back to the left and had us pinned on our line in the corner and went for a few pick and goes which we defended well before they went back right and had men over and scored in the corner, with 30 seconds left on the clock to make it 21-17. Robinson went back to the 22 to kick as the clock was running down and asked the ref if he scored would the be time to kick off again and the ref said no, so Robinson declined the conversion with the clock on 6 seconds to go.
We then waited for the clock to run down and booted the kick off into the stand. Wasps were not happy and complained to the ref, but my understanding is that as it would be a scrum offence that's it game over. Perhaps one of the refs in th pub could clarify.
Big win for us with so many of our more creative players missing. It wasn't pretty, butI will definitely take the 4 points.

Ok Ozzy - cheers for that. My LI mates tutned up a while back and said "Ye feicers stole a bonus point at the end"
Nice win Cari :applause: Can the Os make an impact in Europe this year? This year's squad look up for it.
ETs are £2.50 for 4 in my local supermarket, but 8 for £4.50. No brainer.
Google them - nicer than boring mince pies.

My (English) friend once described them as flat scones. They're baked on a stone rather than put in the oven, and can sometimes taste very sweet or more of a cinnamon kind of taste. They went down well in Ireland when i took some over....
All right Prop. Think you might appreciate this story:
