Off topic (but I don't care)
First topic message reminder :
This has literally made me feel sick.
I'm feeling pretty disillusioned with the human race, right now. Restore my faith, peeps:

As mentioned earlier I like The think Of It, used to love Yes minister, bit of Fawlty Towers, Black Adder. Recent stuff Ive liked is The Rev and really liked the first couple of series of Lead Balloon.
But in all honesty Id rather watch a documentary or a drama on TV than comedy.
Fair enough Diggers, most comedy these days is pretty poor, so you are probably not missing a great deal.

The guy that always make me laugh is Michael McIntyre, very much in danger of being over exposed but I just love his style.

I like Dylan Moran. Not too over exposed either but then again I never really watched his tv sitcom Black Books. Prefer his stand up stuff.

Is Micky Flanaghan the dark curly haired cockney geezer? Think I saw him on Live at the Apollo or similar, very funny guy!

Diggers,
If you like Lead Balloon, then have you checked out Curb your enthusiasm. Which is pretty much what Lead Balloon was based on. I went to see yes prime minister in the west end, a bit of political satire is always funny.

Have me back? I haven't been anywhere, D4S.
Oh, and as a northerner living in the south, I'm well-placed to judge any Peter Kay v Jack Whitehall debate - they're both cack.
Special mentions for the stand-ups of Lee Mack and Simon Evans - both very, very good and under-rated. Also Henning Wehn (whom I'm seeing tomorrow, incidentally).
By far the most over-rated comedian I've ever had the misfortune to see - take a bow, Stewart Lee. Utter bobbins. Held-up by right-on studenty types as some kind of comedy genius. He is just not funny. In fact, he's worse than McLaren.
Mark Watson was a let down, too - I expected so much better from him as he's one of the best contributors to 5Live's Fighting Talk.
Milton Jones did exactly what you'd expect but without being side-achingly funny.
And someone who really surprised me when I saw him do stand-up was Alan Carr - he was genuinely funny (not that I'd go and see him again, mind).
I remember seeing Michael McIntyre about 6 years ago in Up the Creek in Maidstone. He was very good so it was no surprise to see him get to where he's at now.
No-one does disappointment in family members like John Bishop.
I used to love Frank Skinner's stand-up (and still do) but I feel dirty now that he's gone all religious on us.

Merc
There was a rumour circulating yesterday that you were given a '1 shot penalty' but if you have been sworn to secrecy then Mum's the word
And JPX, I'm prepared to fight my corner regarding Michael McIntyre

Frank Skinner, defintely makes my all time top 3 most irritating people on TV. Actually difficult to decide whether David Baddiel should be ranked higher or lower than him. Probably have Skinner higher as he is so ugly it upsets me to even have to look at him.

I did log in at one point and read a PM from a spotty Herbert saying that I had been banned for 24 hours - Reason: Swearing but as I hadn't swore, I just assumed he was talking about some other Mercurio.

Frank Skinner is beginning to morph into Albert Steptoe.

10% is a little low. Could sombody do me a favour and drag McLaren along those 6.7 miles to see if we can get that percentage a little higher?

Fair enough, I would rather be dragged 6.7 miles tied to the back of a porschse than play even a few holes stuck behind hackers drinking strongbow and riding a cart.
