All I want for Christmas is my England back...
I have deliberately held my own counsel regarding the current RFU debacle since the Twikileaks affair in order to assimilate the information.
I have no doubt that Squeaky is a good administrator, but I have no confidence in him as a leader and decision-maker. In fact in no-one who recalls him as a player should be surprised by that when he was at the helm (fly-half) of the English side, he rarely raised the heart-beat. FFS even Stuart Barnes was better.
Now MJ has retaliated. And he's not the most effusive of men - but he clearly feels cut to the heart by the media spin.
And Andrew looks like a senior politician trying to dog it out to save his/her own dubious career.
So I'd expect a huge spillage of blood from now until next Wednesday when the RFU board meets to consider the RWC reports.
And on top of that I'd expect a further cull - due to a schism of self-interested parties at the top.
What chance MJ being re-offered his post on a temporary basis for the 6Ns?
