As some of you may be aware last year I predicted that the p4p rating would be a Filipino 1-2 by the end of 2011. Donaire at the moment is no.3 on the list but a win against Moreno on the 28th of May should make my prediction come early.

Moreno, will be a a more tricky puzzle for Donaire to solve he may lack a big punch but has slick defensive skills, it should be a great match up.

Donaire could still have 2 more fights later in the year, one against the winner of Agbeko/Mares and then could move up for another title.

How do you see the fight going does Moreno stand a chance or will Donaire blast him away like he has done in all his big fights.

With the talent around at bantam-feather could Donaire challenge Pacquiao position as p4p no.1 in the sport?

Could be tricky early on as moreno has an awkward style and decent defensive skills. Don't think he'll leave himself as open to the big shots as montiel did. But donaire will win. His speed, power and all round skill will be too much for Moreno the longer it goes. I'd say donaire by stoppage, about round 8 or 9 to become unified champ.

Hopefully he'll fight the winner of Agbeko v mares in the autumn. Hope he doesn't get sidetracked by all the public family wars he's having, not to mention assassination threats in the filipino media and open letters about his personal life in the press. Just needs to concentrate on the boxing.

If he keeps winning we could well see a Filipino p4p no1 & 2. It would take a hell of a lot for him to move past pacquiao though, but manny is running out of credible opponents (best not to start discussing the merits - or lack of - in fighting mosley), so if donaire keeps beating the best around bantam and sbw while manny stagnates then it's possible, but chances are he'll inherit it like manny did rather than take it out right.

"As some of you may be aware last year I predicted"

Back on your ignorant little pedestal again.

The guy was #5 on the list prior to Montiel, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to come to the conclusion that with the talent packed around his weight that a couple of wins would see his stock and rating rise.

You pretend that you've predicted something that no-one else saw coming? Seriously D4, you claim to be a 30 year old "man" yet you just come across as some sad little muppet with no friends.

Whatever next, you predict that Amir Khan has too much for Timbo Bradley and we should be amazed? Tit.

And although i rate Moreno he's been on a bad run of form recently, from memory whenever his name has popped up on report cards he's been a bit lucky to get some decisions with a few SDs/MDs - can't remember which but i know he was lucky with a couple against "lesser" fighters.

Can't see Donaire having huge issues, am overjoyed that we have another Pinoy for D4 to spray his nonsensical loads over.

A quick check reveals four of his last six have been SD results, the other two were TKOs, but none were over names which scream out at you. Looks like spraying time then.

Substitute the words "Hammer time" (or any Hammer reference) in the MC Hammer song "Can't Touch This" with "Spraying Time" or "Spraying" and you'll find it midly amusing!

It is really nice to see a fighter attempt to clean out a division; as Donaire seems to want to do at Bantamweight.

Also, Moreno has a very unattractive style; he reminds me of a small Whitaker. Perhaps some of the SDs, and I haven't seen them all; were due to the judges disliking his style?

Come on Coxy, you know fluid boxers have got ganked over the years because some view them as boring/negative!

Think about Whitaker-Chavez etc.

Oh I wasn't saying he was amazing by any means; just saying he has an unappealing style, so his record might be slightly deceptive.

I haven't seen all of Moreno's fights by any means so can't comment definitively on his last 5 performances, for example.

He's a pretty good technician Sam, wouldn't say he has a style you could hate to watch. Being a lefty doesn't help i suppose as most seem to struggle with the stance. More a product of being a very good solid fighter with not much pop who struggles for fluidity from what i've seen, quite how he got the nod against Carmerno (think that's his name who he also rematched) in their first fight was beyond me though

Well exactly, and what with Donaire having come from such an impoverished background, and not having had the benefit of modern nutrition, and having started boxing late, and being unfairly represented by Compubox stats because he MEANT to miss all those punches...

I'm a little bit cynical of how quickly boxers at the lower rates are shunted up the P4P rankings for moving through the weights, when the difference between divisions is roughly the difference between spitting and swallowing. Of bubblegum. Obviously.

Here it is again, edited

Not sure about either Montiel or Donaire to be honest, still can't quite understand why Donaire is ranked so highly in the P4P lists.

One punch on Darchinyan and hasn't beaten much else (Sydorenko inc).

Lets hope you have that understanding now.

As long as you don't mention the "M" word i'll quite happily contribute

For me i'm leaning towards Montiel personally, but it's not by a huge amount. I just feel that he's got vastly underrate skills, i'm not saying Donaire is a slouch either.

If you gave me £50 to put down on it i'd go with Montiel

Either way we've got a fair few years now of some cracking action around the lower weights, BW is possibly the most stacked division there is. Correction, it is the most stacked division there is IMO

Yes coxy as you pointed out a few months ago that Khan would not get into your p4p top 40, as they said that on Yahoo.

I've been saying for a very long time that Khan will clean up the division and move up and try and get a fight with Mayweather. And will beat Floyd if it happened in 2012 or later.

On my fantasy betting thread

"£500 Alexander Win, £500 Alexander TKO/KO/DQ"

And did you not read the part about leaning towards Montiel? By only a small amount?

Tell me, how did your "monster" bets go because last time i checked you must've lost about "£1000" as you didn't GET ANY RIGHT!!!!!! Remind me, how much did you "lose" on the you know who vs Clottey fight?!?!!?!?!!?!!?!

Well blow me down i would have never seen that one coming, i mean the possibility of Khan cleaning up is so far fetched i would have never pondered the possibility either. You complete bloody idiot.

And no, prior to Khan fighting Maidana he didn't make my top 40. I gave you a list of guys who'd done more than he had at that particular time, and you were found wanting for a reasoned response saying Cotto should be higher and that was about it.

D4, Donaire himself said he didn't deserve to be #5 and that wasn't him speaking in a modest way - he was genuinly saying it as he had only fought Darchinyan.

Guess you're going to say Donaire didn't really mean it or something?

And no, you picked Alexander you muppet because otherwise you would've picked Bradley. God, just admit you were wrong you pathetic little Flip.

Good to hear it's not too big a worry, though I can see why doing without KFC might be a problem. Seem to remember your saying that the lungs had taken a beating, too. You'll have to cut back to thirty a day, I guess.

coxy was suffering from a broken heart. Is it just a coincidence that he had heart problem when I left 606 and as soon as he joins 606 v2 to converse with me his ticker gets better.

Further evidence to this is last year coxy invited me to a weekend to the south of France with him, I declined and coxy didn't take it too well.

But back to the thread, many people were saying that Donaire could not dislodge Marquez or Martinez and some foolish though Mayweather should be up there.

But now people can see Donaire is much more than another very good boxer, he is a special boxer.

2nd best boxer of his generation.

And i'm not going to bother with the "2nd best boxer" rubbish, 2 wins over Vic Darc and Montiel don't qualify him for that. It's a WUM comment and nothing more, pretty pathetic as usual.

D4, you are possibly the most dislikeable and unlikeable character I've ever had the misfortune to encounter in any walk of life. Why do you go out of your way to cause arguments? Why do Filipino boxers give you such a lob-on? Donaire is very good, but now he's reached the heights of the top 3 he needs to display consistency, and that alone will come with time, not simply with your wishful thinking.

Think D4 had a few when he wrote this, big outpouring of his true (psychotic) feelings:

Just wanted to let you all know about my lovely day with my lover, Manny Pacquiao. We started off with a picnic....Oh it was so lovely. Manny got a little crumb caught in his beard - it was so cute! As I reached out to wipe it away, Manny gently touched my hand and made me promise that we will be together forever. And we will be. We will be...

Strolling hand in hand, Manny and I happily made our way through the park. What's that? His beeper? Oh no! It's not easy being the lover of a congressman...You feel like you have to share the one you love. But I understand. Manny is such a beautiful person, and if he is helping the world, then I understand. But Manny was about to show his true love for me, his D4thincarnation...Or as he likes to call me, his little DeeDee. He turned off his beeper! "But Manny!", I exclaimed. "The world needs you!" Sliding his beeper firmly back in to the pocket of his skin-tight jeans (which I bought him from GAP for Christmas) he said a line which melted my heart. "Darling" he said...."Some things are more important. Like being with the one you love." I was weak at the knees. What had I done to deserve such a sensual and beautiful man?

That night, Manny and I indulged in our passion....Pottery. Of course, I am useless at it compared to Manny, he is so talented. But he taught me. Slowly, with love and understanding. I placed my hands on the sloppy mass of clay, spinning like my head the first time Manny kissed me, all those years ago. Then gently, out of nowhere, the touch of a hand against mine. The feel of breath on my neck....It was my Manny. Cradling me as I sculpted the clay, him behind me, our fingers entwined. Think Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in 'Ghost', but with much, much more passion.

Time for bed...Or so I thought. Manny had been training that morning and had pulled a pectoral muscle. Feeling cheeky, I said "Manny....I have some baby oil in the bathroom." With that mischievous look in his eye and a little smile breaking out on his lush full lips, my beautiful Manny replied with a near whisper, "Well, why not?"

Down he lay, as I rubbed the oil between my hands and proceded to rub it all over his perfect boobs. My heart was racing.

Finally, we ended the night with a rage of passion and heat, as I dressed Manny is a leopard print thong and glazed him with fresh honey, and then chased him all over the house until the early hours.

I will never forget my perfect day with my hero, my inspiration, my reason for living...My beautiful Manny.

Surely it can't have been truly written by him?

My theory is that it was written by D4 on a different account so that he could pretend to be someone pretending to be him. Wouldn't be the strangest idea he's had.

Enough with your euphemisms coxy.

Rubbish wins? Darchinyan, Montiel? Coxy showing his lack of knowledge again.

He also beat "Wlad" and "Tyson". Siderenko was a world class opponent like and Donaire made him look like an amatuer.

It not that he just beating these guys it is the way he is beating them. And good to see he is taking on the best around when other boxers just take the easy fights for big money.

Your infatuation with me is worrying coxy. Unlike you I never had other aliases or dual accounts, but many people pretended to be me, but you seem to enjoy reading about myself and Pacquiao in some sort of relationship.

Well if that what you need to get you off coxy.

But rather than try to hijack the topic, admit you were wrong and you can now see I was right about Donaire.

Right about what exactly? Repeating what all the experts had said previously that Donaire is the heir apparent to the pound for pound crown, hardly ground breaking stuff especially coming from someone who couldn't recognise Mayweather as being the number two.

I said

"And i'm not going to bother with the "2nd best boxer" rubbish, 2 wins over Vic Darc and Montiel don't qualify him for that. It's a WUM comment and nothing more, pretty pathetic as usual. "

And then you said:

"Rubbish wins? Darchinyan, Montiel? Coxy showing his lack of knowledge again"

I was saying your point was rubbish (nothing changes does it), 2 wins over 1 P4P rated fighter and a very good but exposed technically (Darchinyan) fighter doesn't qualify him for the number 3 spot in my eyes. Quite what Marquez has done wrong is beyond me. By the same means Hatton beat up on Kostya (#2 ranked from memory) and then cleaned out the division, yet he wasn't ranked #3 or anywhere near that either, barring Sydorenko he hasn't exactly got huge amounts on there barring the aforementioned fighters, which probably top 10 P4P worthy certainly isn't top 5 in my eyes.

I suggest you should maybe read a sentence properly before accusing someone of a lack of knowledge, because you've just made yourself look a Boobie. No doubt you won't own up to your mistake, instead you'll claim you missed it on purpose or something.

p4p list are not just based on opposition fought, it is also take in account of perceived ability, from the way they have dealt with there opponents.

Donaire has hardly lost a round in 4 years and string of KO victories and has not even had to get out of 3rd gear for his fights.

A special fighter and willing to take on the best and brings great tactical skills and explosive firepower to the ring.
