What are the rules on trades?

I think the computer will agree on any trade.

We are all allowed a maximum of two trades with the CPU each season.

Each CPU trade will have to be a straight swap position for position, i.e. WR for WR. and not a huge jump between player ratings, so no trading your worst WR for Greg Jennings or Wes Welker.


I'll post the FA and trading rules on the franchise news page later on.

In franchise mode I just got the Mario Manningham Award with Manningham haha

after drawing 17-17 after trailing 17-0 getting the leveling score and 2 point conversion with 10 secs to go!!!!!
thats why i signed garrard!

I also went 17-0 down strangely. Brought it back to 17-14 but then had to punt, so thought that was it. Put it down onto their 2 yard line and got a safety, then a touchdown to win 23-17.
They were two yards short with a hail mary at the end though!

What kind of Internet speeds do you need to get a good connection when playing online?

I would love to join but for some reason we get rubbish internet speeds with sky. I think at the most we get is 1.5 even though we can get up to 20mb.

At this speed would games seriously lag?

I have 30mb on virgin and only get a lag when other people in my house are connected with their laptops. I've played about 20+ games online and have only had lag in parts of 2-3.

are you getting 30mb worth of speed? I'm literally just getting 1.5, it rediculous to be honest but apparently I'm too far away from the nearest exchange. If your lagging with 30mb then I can't see me even getting through a game at 1.5mb lol

It's only lagged on a couple of plays in those 2-3 games.

I regularly check my speed on my laptop at speestest.net and sometimes get 31mb. Not sure how much my Xbox can filter but I've never had a problem completing a game.

Good game MJ. I was getting a bit bugged by the lag I was seeing (think the Mrs was online shopping again!), but it wasn't too bad - accounts for the one INT I threw though.

Crazy start with that double fumble on the first play.

Got the ball back with 40 seconds left and in vintage Eli Manning style I threw a pick over the middle on the first play at 25-28.


I've simmed the rest of the games for week 1 so everyone can start week 2 as soon as they like.

Yeah it was for the QBs.

Grossman 4TDs, 1 INT, 66% comp. 260+ yards

Manning 3 TDs, 2-pt conv, 2 INT, 51% comp. 276 yards

It was the INT on my final possession that killed the game. So disappointed after leading 10-0 at the half. It was a well deserved win.

Yeah there's a draft. In season 2 I think you can trade future draft picks.

Not as close as the score suggests, at one point I led 24-6, need to address my closing games issue. Both QBs had terrible games. Only two offensive TDs all toghether. Bradford threw 4 INTs and 2 of them were TDs, should of had a third but I was doing a DeSean Jackson impression and Terrell Thomas got tackled at the 1 yard line.
