Saul Alvarez/Kermit Cintron - BoxNation 2am Saturday - Predictions

toughest test for alvarez tonight. facing a big puncher and the jury on how good alvarezs chin is not really out yet as he was stunned by light punching jose cotto. cintron coming towards the end of his career but still dangerous.

how do you see it panning out?

alvarez is so good at controlling range

crowd cheering a lot but not a lot landing

when the combos start cintron doesnt know whats happening

I have Saul winning these first two rounds. Is it just me though that thinks his head is to stationary at times?.

Prob only ever gonna be one winner but that was far to premature a stoppage for me.

it was only one way though to be honest and cintron never looked right after the first knockdown not a bad stoppage for me

Yeah it was shocking, it was coming anyway but why not just wave it off anytime if you are going to stop it for a punch like that.

i think he saw cintron as being a bit of a punchbag to be honest - wasnt just the punch it was because he was being knocked around for fun to be honest

Still not convinced by Saul yet, certainly got some good qualities but he's a bit stationary in terms of head movement at times and just looks like he could be out boxed.

Yeah he turned and walked back to his corner before the guy even started falling.

just about everyone can be outboxed given the right style. you have to imagine against say kirkland who can bang he wouldnt let himself get tagged as easy.

I'm not sure it's gonna take a unique style to outbox Saul though, rather just someone who can hit and move a bit at the top level. I could see him beating Kirkland though who - despite his last dramatic win - is someone I've never rated due to being very crude and to much of a head hunter for my liking.

Then again I never rated Berto and always failed to see why so many thought he was a top level fight.

Saul just called out Mayweather in the post fight interview. Cintron to Mayweather just a little jump in class then, can't see GBP letting that happen before they have a chance to cash in on a JCC Jr match up.
