No point the Scarlets even bothering turning up on Friday night then! A neutral ref and local assistants I can understand but a complete team from the 'home' country is not on. Can't they get a French ref on an exchange or something.....

I can't believe how often I hear people claiming the Pro 12 should bring in French or English refs. They are needed for their leagues.

Every league thinks their refs are the worst and their players are the best.

Stag, I find it's certain countries who really complain about refs the Welsh and English are bad for it the Irish are starting to do it and the Scottish are pretty decent for saying nothing .We all know what the Kiwis, Ozzies and Saffas are like....

The Welsh have been complaining more and more about refs as the laws have got more complicated

So...



Is the excuse that Rolland is Irish and therefore will naturally favour Ulster or that he is French and so will still be gunning for the Welsh?

Strange we didn't hear the same stuff when the Scarlets were getting the rub of the green (no pun intended) in their HEC match the other week!

I enjoy mixing the refs-gives teams the chance to prepare for different interpretations of the laws during the HiCCup

I just hope it's a good game really. Even better if the Scarlets win of course

What does it matter? I think the Welsh fans conclusively proved that Rolland was French during the RWC- no conflict of interest there! Isn't that where we landed on that one? Seems fair

Evening all. 'tis good to be back on line after a sporting weekend. The Baabaas game on Saturday was rather disappointing, then I was up in Liverpool to see the England netball team win their 1st major tournament in decades (NZ/Australia have won everything between them for the last 30+ years). NZ lost the final after leading at half-time, unfortunately the game was all but over by 3/4 time when I got interviewed by Sky Sport as one of the few Kiwi fans present.

Under 2 weeks until the big meet!
