The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Rhys Priestland, Cian Healy, or the special one of Charlize Theron and Gibbo above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

At least my second team will do well
Even though it's a high scoring draw with a tbp each which is the most likely outcome of course!

You just better hope neither of the assistants have to step up.

Nope not Scottish just from Munster
Yup you got it right Thomond.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
There were plans to have one of O'Garas boots on display in Limerick. I really wouldn't be surprised if that was legit.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Have you got a penchant for eating boiled innards? That would make the similarities between Munster and Scotland uncanny.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
No point the Scarlets even bothering turning up on Friday night then! A neutral ref and local assistants I can understand but a complete team from the 'home' country is not on. Can't they get a French ref on an exchange or something.....

Glas, yea prataí is Irish for spuds.
I can't believe how often I hear people claiming the Pro 12 should bring in French or English refs. They are needed for their leagues.
Who gives a hoot where the ref is from?

Every league thinks their refs are the worst and their players are the best.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Stag, I find it's certain countries who really complain about refs the Welsh and English are bad for it the Irish are starting to do it and the Scottish are pretty decent for saying nothing .We all know what the Kiwis, Ozzies and Saffas are like....

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
So...
Is the excuse that Rolland is Irish and therefore will naturally favour Ulster or that he is French and so will still be gunning for the Welsh?
Strange we didn't hear the same stuff when the Scarlets were getting the rub of the green (no pun intended) in their HEC match the other week!

Ah Mrs Penfro,
Sure I'm just messing and mischeif making!!
Actually I think I might head down to Ravenhill on Friday night and do a bit of cheering myself.
Gibbo,

Did you mean that you agree that I am ignored or that you agree I should be ignored?

What does it matter? I think the Welsh fans conclusively proved that Rolland was French during the RWC- no conflict of interest there! Isn't that where we landed on that one? Seems fair

Anyway, I don't think referees from outside Ulster will favour Ulster. Ever read the Irish sporting press? We get it rougher than the good denizens of this pub the morning after a big meet. I don't see how a ref from Leinster is going to favour us!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Evening all. 'tis good to be back on line after a sporting weekend. The Baabaas game on Saturday was rather disappointing, then I was up in Liverpool to see the England netball team win their 1st major tournament in decades (NZ/Australia have won everything between them for the last 30+ years). NZ lost the final after leading at half-time, unfortunately the game was all but over by 3/4 time when I got interviewed by Sky Sport as one of the few Kiwi fans present.

He'll sell more motgages to Ulster than West Wales. I hold him responsible for the collapse of the euro.

What about us poor Munster fans. Think how we feel.
Everyone hates cheating
Everyone hates 10 man rugby
We can't do charity calendars cos John Hayes and Paul O'Connell aren't conventionally good looking
Nothing works out for us.
