The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Rhys Priestland, Cian Healy, or the special one of Charlize Theron and Gibbo above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

My god, I've just seen Ed Milliband doing a terrible impression of Tony Blair's hand gestures when talking on the News.

That is half decent, however unless you live in Chelsea,I think they might sense something is amiss without a Porsche. When I was over in Chelsea last month there was Porsche dealership! That's not forgetting the fact that every 10th car was a ford/toyota. The others being a Merc/Bentley/Audi/Porsche or Ferrari. I saw some famous people though!

The polar bear line about breaking the ice works as well in fact its become the norm in my haunts.
E.g Me: How much does a giant polar bear weigh?
Smoking hot lass: *turns round smiles* enough to break the ice...
That's usually followed by 4 minutes of polite chat before she mentions her other half.

Funniest chat up I ever heard.
Man approaches group of women.
"How do you sell a horse to a leprahaun?"
Women look at him strangely but await the punchline.
Man crouches down as if addressing a small person -
"Would you like to buy a horse?"

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Hey Hughie... I hope all's well.
Yeah, only 9 days of work left... well 8 here. Time seems to drag on and everyone seems to be in a rush. Plenty of nutters out on the road but I try to ignore the selfish baastards.
I've just washed the spring grime off the windows and got quite knackered and was sweating like a pig. Quite warm here but storms are on the way.
Just waiting for a large bird to fly into my squeaky clean glass now. Had a mystery a few years back when I came home and saw feathers and blood all over the balcony tiles. Strange... I've no pets and I'm 5 floors up. It's head appeared to be missing at first but when I picked the poor thing up it had obviously hit with such force... it's head went into it's body cavity.
About a week later during a moonlit night I nearly jumped off the sofa. For I had noticed this 'imprint' on my window which looked a bit like the Austrian Coat of Arms... spread-eagled pigeon suddenly came to mind.... there was so much detail on the glass. Oops!

Bore da pawb / good morning all. Windy here on the docks this morning, but milder than yesterday.
So they've announced the contenders for BBC Sports Personality of the Year. I'd like Dai Green to win it; I wouldn't bet on it happening, but it's not often that a Brit is the best in the world in a track event. And a Taffy Brit at that!

Bore da pawb, hope everyone's well today.
I'm rooting for Cav myself, Lucky, although it would be great to see Dai winning it.
And I am not looking forward to going outside, it does not look a nice day!

American Football for Ireland?
It would be interesting to see how it does given how the games in Wembley have done. I saw in the paper the other day they are bringing a College game over next year. They were practising putting up the posts!

Blerg, still can't decide whether to go into work or not. Am feeling okish now, but don't want to go in, risk feeling really ill later and then have to come home. That'll be two instances of sick leave instead of one.

Stay home Dreamer.
As far as I know the official advice is not to return to work until 48 hours after a "Tummy upset" has settled to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
I know that noone does that but you aren't even 24 hours yet so...
