First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Rhys Priestland, Cian Healy, or the special one of Charlize Theron and Gibbo above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

I don't know how I'm doing on SG but I assume I'm in the relegation zone. I'm no good at it.

Morning Y'all,

Being a non resident, and non soccer follower,I knew nothing at all of G.Speed-must be a great loss.

For the Quo gig,it looks like
prop
lucky
dreamer
Asbo
Gibbo
Stag
hoog
Aonghus

Now, is Kiwi out there? and is he coming? If so,I'll need to order a ticket.

As for getting there, if prop can give me a lift, then there's no problem;soon as I have the tickets we all meet up in the Vulcan/Tavern/Golden cross when you arrive from Llanelli.I wouldn't be too bothered about not catching Marty's daughter.

On the Quo gig, the main reason Im headed is that I assume all the others are going too. I'm not a mega fan but it would be nice. However if there were regs who weren't going and spending a bit of time post game Parc y Scarlets I'd be happy enough with that too. I know Mick you only have handful of tickets.

Stag, that's how I'm looking at it too. No offence to the Quo, of course, although I'm sure they'll be gutted if I don't go, me and Parfitt go way back.

Stag, RE Friday: I highly doubt we will be going elsewhere after Cassidy’s, but on the very off chance that the night just goes that way, then I only live a 10 minute spin up the road, I can grab your bags drop them home and be back in no time.

What are your plans for Saturday? I plan to be hungover. Smile

Thats perfect Mick. Herself is terrified she won't get to bring her bag of tricks and get to look her best. I tried to explain we're all gonna be drunk, wearing Santa hats and bellowing out "Do They Know Its Christmas" so it wont matter Smile

I'll tell her bring it anyway and we can spin by if needed.

RE: Saturday, yes the plan is to be hungover. Might meet up with a few pals or something in afternoon. Maybe we'd grab a curry (or a Zaytoons that night). Not headed back til Sunday at 7pm so loads of time. Trust me Amanda will be sick of us by the end and imposing a "NO MORE 606ERS" policy on your flat.

Well if she want's to get ready in our place then i could meet you in Cassidy's and we could all take a spin back. In the grand scheme of drinking time we'll still have loads of it.
It's totally up to yourselves anyway.

Amanda will be out on Friday night herself, and if i know her hangovers she won't be able to feel emotion till Sunday night anyway, so we've got carte blanche!

Chef it'll probably take me about 15mins to get to the train station and then it's a further 20-25 to cardiff so i'd say we could get there by 6.30 if required? If it's that time I may drop my kit off at my house en-route!!

Rav, what’s the craic man?

I believe if you’re coming down you’ll be on de northside?

A couple of the lads from work are saying they will probably come along too.

Oh and MickyT’s mate Paul (who goes to all the matches with us)’s wife just had their first chisler at the weekend. So if that’s not another good excuse to raise a glass then I don’t know what is!

Actually Stag, if we’re ready for any more beer on Saturday night Mick is doing the 12 pubs of Christmas. (possible reebok) could be a runner…

Mick - count me out of the Quo ticket then, save you having to order one in for Kiwi. Like I said yesterday I've seen them before so would much rather the ticket go to someone else Smile

And bore da all (just). I am a poorly Dreamer today. Went to bed feeling fine, woke up at 3am feeling awful and spend the next while vomit. Not happy today at all.

Na Lucky, phoned in sick earlier on this morning, have only just woken up again. So annoyed I've had to take a sick day, was trying to go a whole year without taking one Sad

Feeling a bit better, but don't know whether to brave some food or not. Am feeling a bit hungry so perhaps tis a good sign....

Feel better soon Dreamer.

So I just got an email from the recruitment agent. And I did not get the job with Gamestop.

She said

“they felt you came across well and did a very good interview but they have other candidates with more specific experience within a certain area of the ERP and feel they would be better suited to the role.”

So I suppose there’s not too much I could have done. or maybe she was just fobbing me off. either way, it was too long a commute anyway. I’ll find something better.

Prop - not sure, but I would assume tis the valleys. Scarlets had to win the match to make it to the semi-finals of the U16's comp.

Lucky, Stag - you're more then welcome to hand round PyS with me after the match, but don't give up the opporunity to go and see the Quo unless you really aren't taht fussed. They are very very good live.

Afternoon all.

sounds like Friday is shaping up into a decent enough night.

We might get some funny looks singing christmas songs so early but hey, an ulster, leinster and munster man walk into a bar.. Cassidy's was the name.

I do not know how I will manage the 12 pubs of christmas the next day but sure that's me a rock n roll life style I lead

Dear God, the refereeing was awful when the Scarlets played at Ravenhill last season. Scarlets, stop coming in from the sides and handling in the rucks! Ulstermen, you crack on!

Penfro - tis not 100% confirmed, and I'd be surprised if it's true but still....who knows eh? I've seen Nigel ref matches between Scarlets and Leinster before so it happens!

Who do the Gweilch have reffing them then?

Lucky - no comment from me Wink

Yeh me too Staggy. I am off Monday as well so that means I can keep the misus happy somewhat by promising to bring her shopping that day.

I did forgot to give her an invite for Friday. but she doesn't usually come to the games so felt there was no need..

I will be Mickado's date for the proceedings
