The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Rhys Priestland, Cian Healy, or the special one of Charlize Theron and Gibbo above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Wow!
Busy girl and what a star to get an audition for such a big show!
So, does she get her talent from you?

I am going to have to say no on that one MrsP, not sure where she gets it from to be honest. She's always been a little dramatic, but never really wanted to do stuff like this until we changed her school last September because she was having problems where she was. The new school has really helped to build her confidence and now she is loving doing all of the theatre stuff.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I find it really scary to realise quite how much kids are affected by the school they are at.
She sings though, doesn't she? She must have got that from somewhere?

It is frightening MrsP, a bad teacher can really set them back.
She does sing. I used to a bit when younger but stopped when my voice broke!!!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
MrsP a brilliant school does wonders. I think I said here what a major impact my secondary school had on me. I hated my primary school - well I just was bored all the time; I have no fond memories from there. My secondary school had a massive influence on me.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
My primary school hade a hugely positive effect on me (apart from one teacher who absolutely destoryed my confidence in anything drawing/painting related, but luckily he moved schools not long after), my secondary school was mainly negative. Don't get me wrong, twas a decent school and up until I was 16 I was really happy there.
Just didn't feel like I was particularly encouraged to better myself, and when I got bored at 14, nothing was done to engage me into work again. Because teachers knew I'd get an A or B grade without them bothering I was left to drift. Looking back, that's really not good enough.
Teachers can have a frighteningly large impact on a child's education. For example I hated the subject English, up until I was 13, because I was completely rubbish at spelling. Then got a new teacher at 13 who taught me all the way through A-level. It became my favourite subject and I went on to do a degree in it. Can hand on heart say that would never have happened, if he hadn't taught me.
It sounds a disgusting night outside tonight! so glad I'm tucked up in the flat.

Having read both of these disciplinary reports I don't know whether to laugh or cry to be honest.
So Cox says that it was one up manship why he smashed a player lying defenceless on his back in the face, and disputes whether it would be a red card or not, yet gets the reduction from a low entry point for being contrite and a jolly good egg. Hape gets the book thrown at him and time added to the ban because somebody else has previously made a bad tackle in another game.
And on both occasions the disciplinary officer refuses to take into the account the referees opinion having had the opportunity to review the footage. The disciplinary processes in our great sport are a complete farce I am afraid. I don't know why I bother reading the disciplinary reports to be honest as they invariably wind me up, much as sentencing hearings in criminal court tend to as well.
I was thinking "welcome to the World of a defence Solicitor" when I read your last bit!

Pleased to read Rob Andrew has been relieved of his functions at the RFU,things can now only get better for the English;worse would have been difficult.

Mick,
Rob Andrew has been given another position by RFU. Sounds like he can do just as much harm.

No, we've used the hotel in Cardiff a number of times.
The hotel in Swansea would have been a completely new hotel and to bring 100 people into it would have needed a site visit. However they are now staying in Cardiff in a hotel that we know so it makes no sense anymore.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Bonjour. Another busy night in Paradise. 09:30 here and I am still up, but it's kind of my routine now. 18:30-06:30 work (sometimes later), gym then bed about 10:30-17:30.
As some of you might have seen, I met Colin Montgomerie the other day out here. What a nice man he was. It was kind of funny in a way, as last time I was here, I was watching him in Newport captaining Europe to the Ryder Cup.
Anyway, just thought I'd pop in. Kind of weird not having a mobile phone and not being able to be on the internet as I please again, but also kind of nice too. Hopefully manage to sneak some time to watch Wales on Saturday, as I don't really get to see much rugby otherwise, as the tv is pretty football orientated for the rest of the lads.
Anyway, see you around like a doughnut.

Love when your talking a quiet early morning poo in work, bothering no one, and someone comes in and destroys the bowl next to you. All you can do is sit there and listen.
Morning folks.
December 1st and five days left in work this year. Sometimes my job has its perks!!

Morning All. please.
I read Hughies post on my phone a couple of hours ago. I lol
I've had the cold and a sore throat since the end of last week and went to the doc yesterday. I didn't get any sleep on Tuesday night because of the coughing. The doc gave me some sleeping tablets. Went to bed at 7.30 last night and didn't move until 7.00 this morning. Mrs R says I didn't cough once. Strange that!
Lucky I read that about the motorist nearly reversing over you. I'm not sure if I should continue to call you Lucky or revert to Luckless

Morning, Rava. There's not much more I can do to make myself more visible when I'm on my bike. I have a yellow hi-vis jacket and those flashing lights on my bike, but he can't have looked when he reversed. It's okay, I survived to tell the tale!

Morning all,
It's December so the old upper lip is feeling a little colder now that Movember is over. Got dance in coaching now. I think we've got a street dance instructor coming in which should be fun.
Hope ye're all well.

Looking to make my sportguru picks for this week and when i go to "Make picks" it throws up rounds 10 and 11. Anyone else know why? I'd prefer not to predict the scores of matches on Stephens day this far out!

I always used to forget to do the predictions after about 4 weeks but this time I’m staying close to it.
Sportguru for Pro12 and HC and Fantasy pro12 are the only competitions I’m bothering with this season.
