The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Rhys Priestland, Cian Healy, or the special one of Charlize Theron and Gibbo above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

I think we were discussing about setting up our own deli franchise over here.
The famine came about due to an over reliance on potatoes. I'm trying to make sure that won't happen again by getting a cajun chicken roll when I go into the garage.

Yes, it’s all coming back to me now.
Man, we’ve had some good ideas over the years. If only we had the follow-through we’d be millionaires. Still, would we be happy?
I think there’s a gap in the market for rude jokes in Christmas crackers, not with swearing necessarily, just stuff like “the turkey tastes like yer ma”.
That type of thing.

Micky
I have genuinely put some thought into this and the big problem at the moment is that unlike over here in Ireland, newsagents and corner shops don't have the space to fit in a proper deli. Garages could be a starting point though.

Stag, I recently (re)bought Ross O’Carroll Kelly’s guide to south Dublin (how to get by on like, €10,000 a day) and it describes Rathgar as “new deli” owing to the number of places you can get takeaway food.
So yeah, we could have them coming out of our ears on Saturday morning. But I might just cook us up a fry of superquinn sossys and puddin. If you’re good.

Won their first tow pool games prop, as have Australia and they meet in the final game in their pool in about an hour.
If Wales win the pool they will likely face Samoa (or an outside chance of Argentina) in the quarters, or if they finish runners up it will be Fiji.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I’ve been to England many times, and the biggest problem with the country is the lack of white pudding.
Oh sure, black pudding can be found, but ask for the white version and you’re looked at like you’ve 7 heads. Our new business venture must address this imbalance.

Have already ordered the white pudding for the Tour of Four: Ramsays of Carluke - there will also be introductions to haggis pudding, flat Lorne sausage and fruit pudding for breakfast

Consider it done.
Meanies are great things. Sometimes I cant stand them - other times Id eat 3 bags. You need to be in the mood for a strong pickled onion crisp.

Is haggis pudding very different to haggis, Asbo? I've tried haggis once; I thought I'd like it but I didn't.

Had chicken thighs stuffed with haggis at the London Scottish dinner, was absolutely lovely. Gutted to be missing the upcoming gathering

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
With you on that Mick. I am starting to give up mentioning white pudding in conversations about fry-ups over because what's the point? No, I should give up, people over here need to know what they are missing out on and demand they get it.
Stag,
If you could bring over chip sticks, that would be marvellous. Also some Cadbury's Dairy Milk would go down a treat. The Irish version is much better.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I’d love to try some haggis, looks like a cousin of pudding.
I know it’s not technically “food” but I’m starving and hungover so I convinced the gang in work to take me to MaccieD’s drive through.
I’ll have 18 burgers please and thanks!

He knows his onions and always tries to move discussions along if they get stale.
He won’t need to use those skills in Cassidy’s later, banter will be on tap.
Hope Pat is there, haven’t seen him in ages. Love that man.
