My Trip to See the Yuks
So I'm off on Saturday to Florida to make my pilgrimage.
As well as spending far too much money in the theme parks, I'll be going to see the week 13 game between Tampa Bay and Carolina. Then, on the next Sunday, I'm headed to Jacksonville to watch the Bucs against the Jags.
This Monday, after a trip to Busch Gardens, I've got a one-on-one tour around One Buccaneer Place where I'll get to see the whole facility and meet any players or coaches that I bump into along the way. Quite exciting!
Of course, I'll take plenty of pictures and make them available to you guys. I'll also do my best to get some words off any players that I end up meeting and share them with you all.
Anyone else got plans to see their favourite team?

Enjoy your holiday, I'll do my best to not ban everyone while you're away.
If you want to try to make sure you meet some players you could always tweet them, they may feel like being nice seeing as you're making a lot of effort for what could be two losses. Don't forget to take your jersey and a pen/permanent marker if you want it signed (it's the sort of thing I would forget and remember the second I got to the airport). It would be quite amusing if the only players you meet are practice squad members you've never heard of!
Unless the Browns make their way over to London for the international series game I have a feeling it may be a good few years yet before I get a chance to go over for a game.

Florida is a lovely place. You will enjoy it immensely. They are both winnable games so hopefully you get to see some good Youngry play. Sheikra, Cheetah Hunt and Montu are awesome rides in Busch Gardens, I insist you go on them. If you're in the other parks, I could help out too. Sned me a PM if you have any queries, my uncle lives in Florida( yeah I know pretty sweet) so I have been there a few times.

I was in a restaurant (fashioned after an English pub) in Tampa in July, 2011, and who strolls by? Josh Freeman! He was with a very pretty girl.

You're surprised? The guy is a QB who is built like a brick house and getting paid millions of dollars. If he could throw a ball to another receiver like he pulls girls the Bucs might go places.

Re: My Trip to See the Yuks
Have a great time Pr4wn, sounds like a decent trip.
Whilst you're applying the factor 20 in the Jacksonville heat watching their week 14 game I'll be freezing at Metlife watching us against Jets - I have to say this game has less and less interest for me, Orton may get a start but we're out of play off reckoning and Jets are clinging onto a wild card spot, I don't expect it to be a great game.
I'm a bit disappointed 'cos I thought about getting down to DC to see Skins v Pats or could have planned a flight up to Lambeau for Pack v Raiders, both of which will be better games.
I'll get back to Manhattanfor 3/4 of the 4.15pm games and the late game is a belter, Giants @ Cowboys.

He throws the ball to a lot of receivers ... they just happen to wear jerseys of different colors than his own .

Sounds like a great trip.
My goal is to get over to NYC sometime in the near future. Probably 2013 season so I can plan, save, and make the most of it.

Mocking - isn't the 2014 Superbowl at Metlife ?
I'm thinking of delaying my Xmas trip to the apple for an early Feb visit for superbowl, tickets will be around $2500 so plenty of saving to do....

I was thinking Super Bowl but will probably settle for a regular season game in September/October so I know we might win.
Re: My Trip to See the Yuks
Yeah Superbowl is at Metlife but it's just not feasible given the expense atm... New York was pricey enough in May (saw Mets vs Yankees) let alone with a Superbowl.
Going to consider a Green Bay away game next winter perhaps... then push on for the home game in a couple of years.
Anyways have a good one Pr4wn in the heat of Florida whilst we all get rain!

It's not very hot at the moment! I'm hoping it gets a bit warmer before I go...
I've also been in contact with one of the Execs at the Bucs and it's going to be a game-time decision, but I might be able to watch Sunday's game from the pirate ship! All depends on how many VIPs turn up.

Wow, that sounds great, hope you manage to get in Pr4wn. How did you actually managed to get that sorted out, were you just cheeky enough to ask incase it could happen? Or blackmail?Pr4wn wrote:I've also been in contact with one of the Execs at the Bucs and it's going to be a game-time decision, but I might be able to watch Sunday's game from the pirate ship! Ha, the former actually. I know they're trying to gain support in Britain so I thought there was no harm in asking!

Pr4wn if you can I would say going to a shooting range is quite interesting if you've never done it before. Just don't go shooting with a Desert Eagle....
Alligator is tasty too if you can get it.

Enjoy Pr4wn! It all sounds great!
I'd love to see the Skins in action some day but will be a long time before I manage that I reckon. Should've done it when I was younger before the kids came along!

Not sure I should be doing that after Josh Freeman's experience...

If you hold it properly you will have no problems and do go shooting the most powerful handgun around either (a desert eagle). Really jealous of you!

Apart from the fact you get to watch the game while on a pirate ship, do you get any other special experiences included?Pr4wn wrote:Just had confirmation from my contact at the buccaneers that I will indeed be watching Sunday's game from the pirate ship!

Given how shoddy the Jags have been, maybe he'll get the special experience of seeing the Buccs win?...

Mojo + Bucs run defence = Bucs loss.

A sunny 70 degrees fahrenheit on Sunday. 21 degrees in Irish/British terms. I'm pretty jealous!

Re: My Trip to See the Yuks
Enjoy your holiday Pr4wn, sounds like it will be great. I just hope you aren't the team against which Gabbert realises he has to actually do well to keep a job in the NFL, so he hands it off to Jones-Drew 50 times on the way to multiple NFL records.
I didn't write that second line, I think you pressed the wrong button mate.Derbyblue wrote:Apart from the fact you get to watch the game while on a pirate ship, do you get any other special experiences included?

Re: My Trip to See the Yuks
Unlucky Pr4wn, some untimely penalties cost the Bucs some momentum but Cam was out of this world again today.
The key was always going to be the running game and the defensive ability to stop it, fortunately the Panthers were excellent on D and Blount didn't seems to be hitting the holes at any pace.
Josh Johnson looks handy and I think you should see a win next week against the Jags.

Cam played pretty well but the Bucs have no LBs and a poor defence.

Pretty indisciplined on D too, haven't seen the penalty stats yet but a lot of field position was lost for the Bucs purely on that.

Re: My Trip to See the Yuks
Apparently Bucs DT was told to go home after giving up a penalty. Raheem needed to instill discipline but price shouldn't have been made an example of. It's a miracle the guy is playing pick on Talib for his idiotic play.

Re: My Trip to See the Yuks
Yeah at first thought it was an ejection then they discussed him being sent to the locker room by Morris, pretty harsh and clearly based on Morris's overall frustrations.
If you're going to make an example of someone make it Haynesworth, he had no impact whatsoever on today's game.
