India v West Indies 2nd ODI
After a slight rain delay, this match gets underway without a reduction of overs.
Sehwag wins the toss and opts to bowl.
Just one change, Rampaul replaces Martin.

Yep, gone pear shaped yet again for the Windies 129-6, 26 0vers.
Can not see them using 40 overs let alone 50.

Sammy ahead of Russell? Like many other things he do, this one again doesn't make sense from the WI captain. Russell at least can bat a bit!.
Hopefully, Russell and Simmons can put up something decent on the bord so that the WI bowlers will have something to bowl at.

It is such a shame to see a team like WI being such a shadow of their former selves.

Brain dead, what was Russell thinking, all these overs left and he does that.
Clean bowled by Jadeja WI 149-8, 30.5 overs.

The administrators, players, everyone got thinks wrong. And unfortunately, there is absolutely no light anywhere near. Appointing a yes man of the board who bowls a bit as captain has certainly not been the answer.

This was a good opportunity for Russell to put up his hand and show the world his all-round potential. But he just gave it away with a terrible shot.

Agreed, I do think it is time for Sammy to be removed.
I wonder what Clark, Richards thinks of the last ten years of WI cricket, very sad i should think.

They have rested Bishoo for the ODI's and Martin did not look suitable.

Simmons after looking in little trouble throughout his innings is run out for 78, to a very good throw from the deep.

Could this 10th wicket partnership be one of those magic phases you sometimes see in cricket.

4 overs left, would be quite an achievement if they were to bat out the full 50.

What a recovery to get a respectable score of 269-9. Brilliant from Rampaul and Roach played very well to stick around.

Wow, unbelievable! Superb display of hitting! Very well done, sir.

Just coughed a mouthful of coffee over my keyboard, gave up following it when they were one-forty-something for eight then saw their final score.

Re: India v West Indies 2nd ODI
Incredible effort that was, from Ravi Rampaul. He had shon in the past, that he could bat, better than some of the so called all-rounders. But today, he really stepped up, and it was terrific to watch, although it was India that was taking all the hammering!.
India too didn't have the greatest of starts, but a nice it of rebuilding going on at the moment. Need these to, Kohli and Sharma to bat for at least another 10 overs. Rohit seems to be developing a great love for the WI bowling. Just hoping he takes this consistency against other sides as well.

Powerplay times, the match can turn either side now. A solid powerplay would take India closer, a wicket or 2 will bring the WI right back in.

Re: India v West Indies 2nd ODI
India won by 5 wickets, This time round, Rohit Sharma(90 not out) made sure he was there at the end to see things through with Ravindra Jadeja.
Virat Kohli scored his 8th ODI hundred(117) and was declared the Man of the Match. No complaints about Kohli getting it, but personally, I'd have gone for Ravi Rampaul, who besides his record innings, picked up 2 wickets as well.

The WI did show some fighting spirit again, but their captain showed awful skills of judgement on the field, and his bowling, the only part of this game in decent working order, wasn't up to mark either.
