Brandon Rios weighs over Lightweight limit

Quite interesting, he should have no problems but there is a possibility it could affect his preparations and a glimmer of hope for Murray!!

Rios will be stripped but Murray can still win the title. Joe Gallacher has said that they will only take the fight if Rios only weighs a certain amount in the morning.

It's alright when they do it though, murray comes in huge vs mitchell and then realises he is going to be the smaller man for once so says rios can't come in too high. I hope this fight goes ahead as both fighters are never in boring fights. i really think murray can cause an upset if the fight does go ahead

The fight will happen, but with Rios looking drained, Murray could be in with a chance. If this doesn't happen I feel for all the fans gone over to New York

If Murray walks away from the fight he's the champ.

Murray camp say an 8lb overnight weight gain is the maximum or the fight is off.

This could be really bad for Rios. That makes the limit 144lbs. He came in at 149lbs on the day of the Antillion fight.

When will he be weighed?

Rios has to pay Murray $20,000 in compensation.

Weigh in 9am tomorrow US time. 12 hours before fight time.

then its not a prob - he will probably fight at 147 - just a couple f meals and some water - not bad. He might struggle if it goes to 149.

If the weigh in is at 9 then he should be ok. He comes in at 144 at 9 then he can come in around around his usual 148-150 when the fight starts. Although it makes it easier for murray, i still feel rios is that much better than murray that he will still win

Heres a pic of Rios on the scales he doesn't look good. It reminds me of Jorge Arce just that pale look about him.

yeah Rios don't look good, poor prepperation and this can only help Murray, my KO1-6 doesnt looks so good now haha. Rios needs ot move up, this isn't the first time he has had trouble with the weight

So much for gamboa v Rios at Lightweight, sounded a good fight but rios is still growing and wouldn't be surprised if we see him at welterweight before too long. He should move up, and lucky for him if he gets past murray as the division is stacked. Khan may move up but maidana will go back to LWW after alexander fight, bradley is still there, matthysse is extremely underatted and could easily have a record with no losses, soto has moved up recently, morales is still kicking about and rising stars jessie vargas and Danny garcia make up the rest. Thats why im surprised he's making a relatively easy fight a hard one tomorrow? he has so much to lose and very little to gain

Garcia shouldn't be letting that happen, he looks terrible. Fighters and trainers need to start taking more responsibility for this,

To many fighters fight below their natural weight class. I think they should go back to weighing in on the day it gives less time for rehydrating which means dehydrating yourself isn't possible to the degree we see now.

He isn't that good but if weigh ins were on the day of the fight they would all probably be cruisers. Who fights are their natural weight? Pacquiao and Mayweather are the only 2 I can think of who don't pile on weight overnight.

Watched Rios's interview in US said this will probably be his last fight at lightweight,might explain why his failed to make the weight obviously struggling.

Rios didn't look well on the scales but I still think he beats murray. Murray lacks the head movement and power to fight the way he does and suceed at world level.
