The Fun Bus
Given McGeechan's "ultimate Lion" comments about him, 14 years of top flite rugby, that he is the most capped forward in international rugby, third most capped player of all time, England's most capped player, WC winner, played in 4 WCs, went on 3 Lions tours and won 7 6N titles (4 grandslams), why hasn't someone forced him into coaching?

Of course, a great player does not necessarily make a great coach.

Re: The Fun Bus
Some players simply don't fancy it.
Martyn Williams is apparently going into financial work when he retires, Shane Williams has said he wouldn't have the patience.
There are many careers a player can go into after playing and there are very few "paid" coaching jobs out there for ex-players.
The tendency of clubs is "jobs for the boys", if Shane Williams did go into coaching for example he would probably coach a junior grade team at Amman United.
It would of been nice to see Jason Leonard coaching though at the top level. I think he currently owns a construction company and is an after dinner speaker on the side, so he is still earning a living, without freezing his nuts off on a rugby pitch!

Alyn, Shane Williams said in an interview the other day that he'd love to get into coaching.

Maybe he's had a change of heart then, he said in his autobiography he wouldn't have the patience for it, though he did say in an interview he plans to play a season at amman United before retireing.
