Now Shane is only playing regional...
Will he become more dangerous for the Ospreys or will he begin a slow fade away? I hope it's the former even though I'm a Scarlets fan.

The Ospreys should get a few more in the crowd now. USP - Shane plays for us, but he'll be retiring soon. Very poor form if they foul that one up!

Id expect him to play for us for at least another 2 seasons, hes still very quick despite what some people think in fact i think hes the fastest in the Wales squad.

in reality he could easily still be playing for Wales. he still gets himself in the right positions and can create. He'll be a force for Ospreys for as long as he wants to be in my opinion

It would be a bit embarrassing if he decided to play for Wales again - he'd have to give back all the prezzies for a start.
Anyway, I think he'll only play for the O's for one more season and then take a coaching role somewhere - and quite an important one at that. Meanwhile, I think he'll want to leave the O's on a high, so we'll see him play very well - especially in the Heino.

I didn't mean I think he would play for Wales again but I think he still has the skills to do it at international level.
have to say I can't see him being successful as a coach though...

I know, I was just commenting if someone tried to persuade him to play for Wales again, it'd be embarrassing if he agreed.
I don't know...I think he'd do all right as a coach, but with youngsters, not the seniors.

I don't think he will feature as much as people think, we already have Tom Prydie, Hanno Dirksen and Eli Walker pushing for wingers spots as well as Scottish international Nikki Walker.
Nikki will probably be released at the end of the season, but I expect Eli to take over Shane within the next season.

Re: Now Shane is only playing regional...
According to the Western Mail today, Shane is not an Ospreys player! He has been out of contract since May and had his contract taken up by Wales for the World cup and up to yesterdays game. He has been aparently playing for the Ospreys as a Wales registered player.
Does that now makes him unregistered so if the Ospreys do not give him a contract in the next week, I supose he will be ineligible to play?
PS From whay I have seen Eli Walker looks to be Shans successor, sorry but I don't rate Prydie or Dirksen.

Good news Shane has signed up this week with the Ospreys to the end of the season. Hopefully he will stay fit and maybe play another season at Swansea.

Shane signed a 2 year contract with the Ospreys in April.
Ignore the Western Mail it's rubbish.
