First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Doug Howlett above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Ale cuppa coffee mug cider RedWine Bubbly

That was an initiative test. You failed.
Llanelli is a shoitehole

Rava. The sale is at 2 pm, meaning I would have to swap my Court duty session on the morning of the 29th and finding a swap is about as likely as the next Pope being a woman. Then I have to get back for a Police Station duty by 8.30am on New Years Eve, and the chances of swapping that one are even less! Mrs G and I have been talking. We'll come over in the New Year for a couple of days. Just going to check the Ulster fixture list. thumbsup

Very. We need to back it up with another big performance this week as well though. Even if we don't quite make it into the knockout stage, I would love for us to come second in the pool and give ourselves a shot at the Amlin.

Will be interesting to see if you can string a couple of really good performances together. The Amlin's not exactly a bad competition to fall down into if you can.

The emoticons actually tell the same story for Munster.

BTW Dreamer did you see Peter O'Mahony has been injured and ruled out of the Munster v Scarlets game. Also Scarlets have now lost thirteen times on the trot to Munster.

Hala'ufia again Stag.

Swinging arm nearlt decapitated the Metro full back. Will get 10 weeks minimum and deservedly so. Was only his second game back from a 7 week ban for a similar tackle.

It's all fairly academic anyway, as he hit the guy with such force he has broken his arm and looks set to be out injured for 3 months.

If Edinburgh beat the Blues (without TBP and the Blues get an LBP this week (feasible), then a similar performance from us as we produced in the second half would see 1 point seperating the three of us and game on, so we definitely could do with backing that performance up.

lucky, sorry fella, my money is on the Chiefs. You still have to go to France don't you?

Afternoon all,

I think we should definately confine you to emoticons during matches Ozzy!

I haven't seen the tackle but I remember you mentioning it at the time. Surely the book has to be thrown at someone who does the same thing so soon after returning from a ban for a similar tackle.

If the guy broke his own arm in the process imagine what it could have done to the other guys neck/throat.

I totally agree. You know me, I am quite vociferous if I feel that one of our players has been treated harshly with being cited, but it smacked to me of Hala'ufia seeking retribution for the late tackle that caused Dan Bowden to go off injured. It was utterly brainless and he can have no defence really. There isn't even any mitigation, he comes from the side and clobbers the fella.

Strangely enough him going off did us a favour, as Gibson came on and was once again outstanding, and our back row looked a lot better balanced than it did with both of our Pacific Islanders out there.
