Scarlets 14 v 17 Munster
First topic message reminder :
Parc Y Scarlets 10/12/11
In the pre match preamble I asked two questions:
1 will the injury to Howlett make any difference at all?
2 can the Scarlets pack withstand the onslaught they are bound to face and get any sort of decent ball for the Scarlets to get their running game going
They were the wrong questions. In the event Munster chucked it about with abandon (for two or three phases anyway) and Zebo looked quite at home.
The Scarlets had plenty of ball but for the main part were clueless with it.
What are your thoughts?

Scarlets not protecting the ball at the breakdown - twice it has just rolled into Munster hands.

Scarlets need more points on the board, they have Munser under a lot pressure - need more of a lead.

Some sloppy mistakes from both sides.

Ball leaking out of the scrum, Coughlan takes the blame for that. Need a score or two. Don't shovel out sh!t and cut out the stupid mistakes.

5 metre line, you have to get a try here lads. Priestland has missed two poor kicks and looked a bit dodgy there.
You catch about 30 seconds of it on RTE. TG4 at 9:15 would be a better shout

Ouch!
Great offloading from Munster, poor defence from Scarlets
Try Munster
8 - 8,
conversion to come
Scarlets need to come back

Ronan also doing some great flanker play, great support line. Hurley takes a fantastic line from ROG, superb offload to Murphy who gives a pass to Ronan who jinks inside and touches down. Fantastic try. 8-8

I'm guessing he made a good turnover? Every back rower should be able to do that, it isn't a specific openside requirement.

BJ Botha has had a cracking game so far, in the scrum and in the loose.

Hes mixing the sublime with the atrocious as usual. Missed some very bad tackles but the line for the try was just superb flanker play.

He is doing alright. Surprised me the last few weeks, making some good tackles, missing some and as always is a good support runner.

Yeah I don't rate him at all as a player but its hard to argue against his inclusion in the team as he has been very effective recently.
The Munster try really was sublime not something you'd expect them to do at all with Holland in charge but they did everything right for it, really was perfect execution.

Re: Scarlets 14 v 17 Munster
My stream is fast becoming unwatchable, basically a string of freeze-frames now.
Not sure I can be bothered with this one tbh, I'm behind on my sleep so can't concentrate and unable to summon the energy needed to muster my usual mental screams as the game goes. Scarlets not looking like a confident winning side anyway, not optimistic after that half. Hope I'm wrong though.
Good luck for the rest of the game Scarlets and if you lose you're all twits

Was like tries Hickie used to score along the wing for Leinster. Great counterattacking play.

Ye really need to get sherry or flannery back soon because varley gives away two or three penos a game for not releasing, he seems to be one of the thickest players around.

Yeah but it looked accidental which may have been why the touch judge didn't recommend a yellow. Poite asked him twice whether it was a yellow card offence.

Ree's should of been yellow carded the second if not the first time, very poor from Poite.

Thank christ for that knock on. That's what happens when you don't committ at the breakdown and fan out, you stop teams. Hold on now lads getting them out of BP territory would be nice too.
