Random Factor... Like A Tractor
First topic message reminder :
Random factor, like a tractor...

Hello. Following its roaring success on the old 606 (winner of six Luckies*) I thought I'd provide a space on 606v2 for you to post any irrelevant little things you fancy sharing.
I'll start: I've always had trouble with the line 'Love grows where my Rosemary goes.' If they'd chosen another name like Anne or Susan there'd be no problem, but rosemary's a herb so it could be 'Love goes where my rosemary grows.'

I need to get Adblock Plus, then. I keep getting adverts for things I've already bought.

Do it lucky. My computer's never been faster and it feels so light & quick.
Only thing... it also blocks some attachments on emails so you need to give them permissions through the firewall.

Is it free software or will I have to let the moths out of my wallet?

Re: Random Factor... Like A Tractor
Keep the moths in your wallet!
I had to change from Google Chrome... it was becoming a hindrance and getting slower and slower and not remembering my passwords,etc... so I switched over to firefox and they have all the free ad-ons like Adblock and a good password manager there. I had to unistall all the google bits except for google earth... and also updated flashplayer and a few other bits and pieces too. Seems so much better and faster now.

Re: Random Factor... Like A Tractor
Hmm, I've got Firefox already, maybe I need to activate the Adblock thing.
Incidentally, the moths in my wallet are the same as the ones in Silence of the Lambs.

Re: Random Factor... Like A Tractor
Talking about moths... I had a tiny moth problem the last couple of months. I traced them to a pack of green tea leaves from Sri Lanka.
I used to catch and release... but I think they just hung outside the door until I opened it and they all made a moth-line back to the kitchen cupboard again.
Funny, no spiders, mosquitoes or bogong moths (large ones from the desert) this summer; only half a dozen small housefly, a few wasps and these millions of Sri Lankan moths.

Ducks help keep the funnel web numbers down... and scottie terriers will go for them as well. Immune apparently. I have neither but then again no deadly nasties near me (unless I go looking for them)

Re: Random Factor... Like A Tractor
I'm having a terrible week.
I went round to my boss's house for dinner.
His wife asked how many potatoes I wanted. I said "oh, just the one".
She said, "come on, there's no need to be polite".
I said "oh, okay then. I'll just have the one you stupid cow".
