Munster v Scarlets - Sunday
First topic message reminder :
Keith Earls has been included in the 29 strong Munster squad named this morning for the Heineken Cup round four game at Thomond Park Stadium on Sunday (12.45).
Earls came through the squad training session in UL yesterday and if he does likewise in tomorrow's run could be a contender for a place in the match day squad with Tony McGahan adding "We've to wait and see, he's been out of action for three to four weeks, so we'll have to see how he gets on in training for the rest of the week."
Munster Squad (29): Marcus Horan, Wian du Preez, Stephen Archer, John Hayes, BJ Botha, Denis Fogarty, Damien Varley, Donncha O'Callaghan, Donnacha Ryan, Paul O'Connell, Mick O'Driscoll, Ian Nagle, Billy Holland, Denis Leamy, Niall Ronan, James Coughlan, Tommy O'Donnell, Tomas O'Leary, Conor Murray, Ian Keatley, Ronan O'Gara, Johne Murphy, Denis Hurley, Scott Deasy, Simon Zebo, Will Chambers, Lifeimi Mafi, Danny Barnes, Keith Earls.

eire,
I like to see all Welsh Regions do well but think if Scarlets can come away with a LBP it will be very good result for them.
Have feeling they get bit of tonking

Not so sure about that bedford. Just have this horrible little feeling that its going to be very close. Still think that Munster are the better team and should win but not by much.

Re: Munster v Scarlets - Sunday
Dave Pearson is ref...!
I think he is a reasonably no nonsense kind of bloke from what i remember...!
Scrums have been particularly poorly refereed this last round. I would like to see it all a bit clearer and more consistent this time. Even though I imagine that would only benefit Munster as Scarlets do not currently have many options at the scrum, but I was sick to death of the endless re-scrums at the Liberty, followed by wrong calls by the referee.

nce to see munster havng a scrum as weapon for a change. is mushy getting any gametime at sale? have feeling he will suddenly become a scrummager over there. don't know why mind.

It all depends on the refereeing of the scrum though unfortunately mate.

Come on Munster! Three provinces to top the groups after round 4 would be excellent!

After spending two hours at the Liberty watching around sixty minutes of resetting scrums I really feel like the Referee's have to do more for the fans else we will get disenfranchised with the game...!eirebilly wrote:Cheers maesteg, i hope he has a good game and does sort out the absolute nonsense that has been the scrums.

It seems from the first half that its going to be very tight, hopefully we won't need another drop goal in the 92th minute thought

I always figured that this would be a very tight match. Munster may be leading but Scarlets have played the better rugby in my mind.

Re: Munster v Scarlets - Sunday
Munster looking good here. They're playing well within themselves. Scarlets looked good early on with some breaks down ROG's channel but Munster seem to have shored it up. The forwards are starting to take control looking for space to spread it.
Scarlets taking a few players out. Missed kicks will cost them.

My god, is there anything more annoying than the fake American accent put on by so many Irish voice over wingnuts?

Don't think I've seen DOC stay on his feet at a single ruck yet.

Re: Munster v Scarlets - Sunday
Priestland and Jones have both crumbled when it comes to goal kicking - yet the Scarlets just arent playing the sort of game which will bring trys.

Murray is a cracking player, though has been out the game much until now... What a game...
Priestland could really rue missing that kick now...

Major let off there. Scarlets are doing everything right except scoring.
And as I type Munster wake up and play at a whole different level! Superb stuff to watch.
