John Morrison decided to retire months ago
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that John Morrison decided months ago, at least dating back to July, that he was going to retire from wrestling when his WWE contract expired and was going to pursue acting opportunities.
My question is why a wrestler who couldn’t cut a promo if his life depended on it would think he’d make a good actor?

He will get roles because of his looks. Not because of his ability. Many a movie has starred these kind of....erm...."actors"

He will play the pretty boy soldier that gets decapitated before the middle of the film.

To be fair to him, he'll have plenty of work as someone who gets beaten up by the main protagonist in films.
Morrison is basically a seasoned staged fight stunt man, and his extraordinary agility for a man his size will benefit him greatly.
Good luck to him, I'd rather see him do that than become a spot monkey for TNA.

My guess is if he does manage to land any acting roles it'll be in low budget straight-to-DVD bargain bucket stunners before he makes an inevitable return to wrestling, either in WWE or TNA.

So Jomo, Batista and Melina are all out of work and theres talk of movies, I'm sure Jomo's already perched on his wardrobe in anticipation.

I agree 100%.... It won't be hard to have a more credible acting career than a certain Paul Levesque

Word going around among independent wrestling promoters is that John Morrison is asking a hefty $5,000 to make appearances. Morrison has been approached by some top indy promoters with good offers but he is asking $5,000.
