Barry Bannan/Fab Delph
I can see these being the future of Aston Villa starting next season. I think as we wont be spending massively we'll use these guys alot more, especially with the clear-out.
I can't see Fonz making it though. IMO I dont think he is good enough
Clark has impressed me loads too. Again next season he'll be improved and probs in midfield but i think his done a bang on job in defence and took the great chance in proving himself.
Time will tell for Nathan Baker..
anyways... what you all think?

Delph has got massive potential, i was gutted when we (Leeds) sold him to you. Definately a star for the future and a credit to your team

Dorrens is a decent player, but i rate Chris Brunt higher. He would make a good addition to any team. Its a shame if you dont spend in the summer, its hard to compete now without an injection of cash into the team.

yeah its like teams like city have spoilt it in a way.
but you can always grow them through the youth team
Alex Fergison more or less did it and won the treble when everyone doubted him....
doubtful it would happen at villa though lol

Re: Barry Bannan/Fab Delph
Delph is class, Bannan is not too far behind him. My concern is that we'll build Delph up and then in a couple of years he'll follow in the steps of Barry and Milner. Hopefully not!
On a similar note, is anyone kind of annoyed that despite our on-field mediocrity, a bunch of our players keep getting rewarded with places in the national squad? I'm worried that with them hanging with the big time Charlies whilst we're struggling down the bottom of the table will be detrimental to our quest for points.
