Actually to be more accurate I should have said "defunct NSWRL clubs" (pre SL & NRL)
Several current 'merged' NRL teams like Wests Tigers, St George-Illawarra still survive as individual clubs (Western Suburbs Magpies, Balmain Tigers, St George Dragons, Illawarra Steelers) along with the North Sydney Bears, Newtown Jets) in the NSWRL.
