Re: Gimme 5
Athens - desolate, uncharming, hot smelly and with the usual grace of a capital city in its citizens (ie very little)
Los Angeles - intimidatingly big and overly "American", too hot and nothing really interesting to me
Slough - enough said
Miami- way too noisy and the beaches were underwhelming. No soul
Paris- nice sights, some not so nice Parisians and just a bit snooty and expensive. Coming from a Londoner.
5 favourite days of the year for whatever reason

sorry... more cities rather than 'places'
London (just love the place... old buildings, parks, etc)
Tokyo (absolute buzz, everything so easy despite all the people)
New York (great feel in certain neighbourhoods)
Berlin (the lifestyle seems so easy going, interesting history too)
San Francisco (parts remind me of Sydney - which I love. Laid back city)

Re: Gimme 5
Good choices (for the record mine are Indie, Metal, Blues, Reggae and Punk/Ska)
Misunderstood - great 60s band who influenced a huge range of bands, but were cut short by being drafted to Vietnam.
Modest Mouse - really good and different indie band
Mariachi El Bronxo - a Latin Guitar version of the Bronx, a metal/Post hardcore Punk band from LA
Rodrigo Y Gabriella - some of the most amazing guitar playing I've ever seen, live or otherwise - latin guitar at it's best and amazing covers of Stairway to Heaven and Orion (by Metallica)
King Blues - great mix of political and funny lyrics, rap, indie punk and pop. Really funny and intelligent.
Right back at ur

Around 43,000 years ago - helping a group of ancestors build some shelters, grow crops, etc.
At the opening ceremony of a pyramid or temple during one the Egyptian Pharaoh's rule.
Around the time when Jesus Christ was on the road travelling between different communities.
with Ancestor's from Devon in 13th C (during the good times)
Vienna/Budapest in the late 19th C (hang around the coffee shops, etc)
