The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the wedding pictures of Father Christmas, Sean Lamont and Paddy Wallace above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

enjoy your Christmas party Prop
I successfully managed to tick another present to buy off my list. Just got 3 birthday presents to buy now and I'm done! Tis so hard sometimes to think of two things for each person.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Dreamer,
Do you mean one for Christmas and one for their B'day?
I know all about that. I have one daughter, the husband, a neice, a nephew and a brother all with B'day in December and then a Mum-in-Law and a Bro-in-law in early Jan!
Actually, the daughter's friend managed to get 2 photos of Rory Best which he personally signed and dedicated to middleP and gave them to her for her B'Day!

yep that's what I mean. Got my sister's b'day four days after Christmas, my mam and best friend on New years day, and then my brothers later on in January! (have to get his present now as he'll be heading back to Gibralter around the 5th of the month!)
Although looking at your list, I seem actually rather better off!
ah those photo's sound an awesome present

I couldn't believe it when she brought them home!
Although she did get a bit mixed up.
When I asked how her pal had managed to get them she said her dad was a friend of Rory Best and his brother George!!!

Evening All.
I seem to miss all the goings on these days.
Staggy - never heard of What's App or Viber. I'm keeping my FB anyway. I don't have millions of friends and do little on there, but that suits me. Also, deactivating your account just makes you disappear temporarily. It's still all there once you sign back in, so if you change your mind...I would say I'd miss your chats too, but we never did...
Anyway, Mickado mentioned Pontypridd in the B & I Cup. they thrashed Leeds Carniege the other day if that's anything to go by. My sister lives by Sardis Road (Ponty's home ground) if you fancy a trip over!

It is really strange not having you pop in here during the day. I know you weren't around so much before you changed jobs anyway but I still miss you.

There seems to be more regs here during the day now than when I was here MrsP The internet is completely blocked where I work anyway. Understandable given where I am, but I couldn't sneak on even if I had time! Means I have a work life now!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
A little. This week is calming down a bit anyway because it's coming up to Christmas, so the work is reducing slightly (other departments off work etc) and the bus journey's not so frantic (sorry school runners, but you don't half clog up the traffic!). That can only mean it'll probably go bonkers in January!

My kids aren't off school yet.
Well, the eldest is off from tomorrow but the others don't finish till lunchtime tomorrow.
The wee one has been off school poorly for 10 days.

Ah, slight wobble to my moment. Apparently Damien Welch picked up a hand injury against Munster and has had an op. will be out for 6 weeks.
Thomond - brilliant! Will make my mam watch it with me then after we've finished all our baking. Tis the first Christmas Eve in ages she's not been working, will be awesome to spend proper time with her

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Here's one for you Prop; a front rower hanging around on the wing finishes off a team move.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz7JObVXRPU&feature=g-all-a&list=PL018503466FDBDF4B&context=G29ade17FAAAAAAAAAAA
The end of that game was a bit mental. Both sides were just running the ball at each other with no inhibitions. It's our best team try of the season even though we had to bring a hooker on for a 12 and a prop on for a winger
If you listen to that clip closely, at the end you can hear Stevie Ferris shout over to Robbie Diack "Robbie you f@$£ing butchered that!".

Oh I hate job applications!
Should be asleep by now but needed to get it done and out the way. Sorted now ready to go in the morning, well later on this morning anyway!
Sleep time after a large glass of wine. Though after last night my liver may not be overly impressed

Bore da pawb / good morning all.
I've been trying to find the video of Toby Faletau's try against the Chiefs, but no joy. The closest I've got is footage of the first half of the move on Chiefs TV.

You can try to coach it, but it comes down to instinct. It's like I've said before, other number eights would have just hoofed the ball downfield without a second thought.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Brew was amazing in the try, he was clearly injured and struggling, yet when he needed to pass to Faletau, he put on a little burst to get clear of the defender so he could get his one handed pass in, pure class.

Today is the day that Newgrange was built for.
At sunrise on the morning of Dec 21st the sun shines down the passageway and lights up the burial chamber. A serious piece of astrological engineering considering it was built over 5000 years ago!
